Your new role
As one of the stakeholders within the Anglian Water framework, they provide both design and construction services across the whole of Anglian Water's region, which is the largest by geographic area in the UK, stretching across Lincolnshire and East Anglia. As Commercial Manager, duties to include:

• Ensuring robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope and makes due allowance for all risks and opportunities
• Manage and support the commercial and procurement strategies with the Senior Buyers to ensure the tender processes are followed correctly.
• Subcontracts are properly prepared and reflect the agreed scope.
• Subcontracts are properly managed in accordance with contract requirements including compliance with all responses to communications, including payments, compensation events, programme submissions, etc., and that all contract files are maintained and kept up to date.
• Ensuring robust cost management is undertaken at all times
• Accurate live forecasting taking into account the project programme
• Actual costs are properly monitored and assessed against the baseline estimate. In particular, all site costs including direct labour, plant & materials, all staff bookings, costs and challenge and variance to the plans.
• Providing reports on actual costs vs estimate and identifying underlying reasons for any variance and resolution
• Ensure that the framework contract is properly administered
• Ensuring that proper records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available
• Proactive management of opportunities including identifying and implementing plans to realise.
• Ensuring that all identified efficiencies are monitored as to progress and report

Experience of team leading would be beneficial. You will have a good understanding of P&C business and all the London market processes or have a willingness to learn fast. Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified or progression towards. You will be confident obtaining information from clients and Underwriters via telephone & e-mail and will have the ability to build good relationships with both Clients and Underwriters/Insurers. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational ability. Your new company
An independent body that work on behalf of insurance companies within the London Market, based in the heart of the City. Their mission is to be at the forefront of creating an optimal trading environment for London Insurance companies.Due to growth and recent company restructuring, they are now looking to add a Development Underwriter to their East Anglia division.

Your new role
As a Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for writing new business within the Commercial / Property book, adding to an already strong pipeline. They have committed brokers in the region and are looking for an individual to come in and add value to the proposition.
Predominately a remote role, you will be expected to be on the road, arranging broker appointments and winning new business.

What you'll need to succeed
5+ Years experience underwriting Commercial / Property business
Confidence to go out and meet with brokers / sell the companies products
Enjoy taking on responsibility / entrepreneurial mindset
Prior Broker relationships preferred but not essential

Your new firm
This leading Top 100 client's Real Estate practice in Bristol has a national reputation and is now keen to recruit an ambitious Commercial Property Associate / Senior Associate to join their successful Housebuilder team, either in Bristol or Taunton.


Your new role
You will be joining one of the largest residential development teams in the region, boasting an envious client roster of leading national and regional housebuilders. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop client relationships and lead on strategic development projects.


You will play a key role in future development of the team and be actively involved in client development opportunities and in supporting more junior members of the team. With an enviable client base, you will enjoy high quality work, working alongside directory-rated partners, all with the benefit of being in the Southwest.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be an established Commercial Property lawyer who is currently part of a leading national or regional Real Estate practice and be ambitious and keen to make a name for yourself in the development sector. With excellent technical skills and a strong client-facing attitude, this role offers the chance to join a leading property powerhouse. Experience of advising clients within the Housebuilder or Registered Developer sector would be a distinct advantage in this role.
