Job Responsibilities
To maximize conference and banqueting revenue and profit through pro-active selling techniques and pricing strategy
Respond to sales inquiries on timely manner from potential clients and customers seeking meeting space, annual dinner, conference, ceremony, food and beverage services.
Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and goals
Analyse business markets and design sales strategy & set goals to execute.
Oversee sales and event department for daily operation and activities.
Oversee event costing such as part timers recruitments, equipment for maintenance, meeting amenities and daily expenses in premises.
Evaluate and improve sales and financial performance
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Marketing / Business Administration / Hotel Management or equivalent.
At least 2 years of working experience in the related filed is required for this position.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia & English
Excellent convincing abilities, good communication skills, sales and negotiation skills
A team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

To achieve the monthly sales target set by the Management
To implement the marketing plan and its promotional activities
To conduct market intelligence
To increase occupancy, average rate, and profits of the hotel through planning and active sales
Define target markets by analyzing data from the customer database system and developing appropriate sales strategies for both domestic and international markets
To maintain good rapport with customers at all times
To back up the Sales team members as to when required
To assist in the training of Junior sales personnel ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and adhering to departments SOP
To take on any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Management
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM/Diploma/Degree A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
Preferably Managers with experience in Sales - Corporate / Government, Hotel Management / Tourism Services or equivalent
Proactive and vocal in providing feedback and process improvement suggestions
