Overview:

The incumbent is to supervise a team of Material Handlers and/or Warehouse Associates performing various functions in the Distribution Centre that ships products to end user customers. The activities involve in receiving incoming shipments from Bio-Rad manufacturing sites and vendors, stocking, picking, packing and shipping products and inventory management.

Purpose of the role

The Front Line Manager is responsible for the daily operational requirements of the depot by leading and motivating all teammates

1.    Demand Planning

• Responsible for driving Supply Chain operational activities, including cross-regional collaboration and support.

The Job scope is as below:

• The job holder will sit in the Second Line of Defense and be the Subject Matter Expert in all regulatory requirements concerning market conduct matters that cut across product lines including Life, Health and General Insurance. This will also mean that the incumbent is familiar with the requirements in FAA, FAR and relevant MAS & LIA notices.
• The job holder is required to work closely with business to provide compliance advisory on market conduct matters and advice will need to be provided with respect to the Group global standards as well. Hence this will require job holder to have deep understanding of the market conduct requirements specific to insurance business and the Tied Agency/FA business models for sound advice to be provided to support business objectives.
• The job holder is required to review consultation papers from both regulators and industry bodies, and implementation of the requirements when they are effected as regulatory notices and undertakings.
• The job holder is expected to manage governance around marketing materials and advertisements to ensure that they meet regulatory and compliance policy requirements.
• Where required, he or she is to provide advice to business on cross border regulatory requirements (and recommend controls) for offshore clients/business and transactions involving a Singapore issued life/health insurance policy taking into consideration company's policies around cross border sales.
• The job holder is required to assist in the completion of relevant thematic risk reviews and controls monitoring assessments for insurance to strengthen proactive risk management and risk stewardship activity.
• The job holder is to assist the team in the consolidation of information required for management reporting in respect of distribution compliance risk areas.
• Working as a team, the job holder is required to provide day to day support to various areas that required compliance advisory on all market conduct matters, and this will include review of consultation papers from both regulators and industry bodies, and implementation of the requirements when they are effected as regulatory notices and undertakings.
