Assisting the HOD with work planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and directing the activities of the Security and SHE through risk minimization programs for daily and during events to ensure a secure and safe facility, effective access control, security of SIC’s assets and a secure environment for the staff, clients, pectators and any third parties in SIC’s premise.

Job Descriptions:

To identify critical security risk, SHE hazards and control weakness,
process gaps for SIC business operations during daily and events.
To conduct liaison/ networking and managing relationship with Law
Enforcement Agencies such as Police and Local Government, such as
DOSH.
To provide advice and training to internal staff on Security & SHE requirement standards during daily and events.
To develop, respond and assist the organization in any Security & SHE
related emergency within SIC i.e Occupational Safety, Occupational
Health, Security Incident, Fire Safety, Road Safety and Pandemic issues to
minimize impact and consequences annually basis by acting as a Subject
Matter Expert (SME) for SIC Emergency Response Team (ERT)/ Crisis
Management Team / Enterprise Risk Management Team / Business
Continuity Program.
To ensure and security and safety team performs the task given daily and
provides reports as timeline given by the HOD.
Ensuring the effectiveness of Security & SHE Management best practice
for SIC in general.
To assist and liaise with the consultants on revamping the CCTV and
preparing the necessary documents. Ensuring the CCTV is always operational.

Job Requirements:

At least Diploma in BOSHM, Green Book, Protective Management,
Criminal Justice. or related.
Background in Police or Armed Forces is advantage.
Good in spoken & written in English & Bahasa Melayu.
Computer literate.
Well verse in OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 45001:2018 documentation and
implementation.
Well verse with emergency response and business continuity strategy (crisis).
Willing to work long hours, during weekend and public holiday.
Able to work in minimal supervision.
Sound judgement and decision-making skills, with a hand on, problem solving
approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.

Job Responsibilities:

This role is critical to support Security & Safety Manager in ensuring the safety of guest, associate, visitors/vendors/suppliers and property, work proactively to prevent theft and vandalism, responds to the needs of associate, offers assistance to those in need, provides excellent customer services, and takes direction from department supervisory/management associate. Work with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and effective communication with other security officers and associate are critical.

Day to day security operations, implement and improve on security procedures and responsible for access control systems and vehicle control system.
Work on crisis awareness, loss prevention, and training of the team.
Conduct preliminary investigation and have good working relationship with the police and other relevant government authorities on security matters.
Develop and manage security contractors.
To enforce disciplinary and work ethics of associate and security personnel.
Development, establishment and implementation of Environment, Safety and Health program to meet OSHA, FMA, EQA and related statutory requirement.
Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and or any other relevant government authorities.
Plan and activate measures to secure the safety & health of associates.
To inspect the workplace within the resort premises.
To keep statistics on accident and dangerous occurrence at the place of work.
Responsible for monitoring and control of waste, air emission and effluent complying with Environmental Quality Act (EQA).
Investigate accidents/incidents and make recommendation to management for making working condition as safe as possible.
Support in coordination of safety equipment /Personal Protective Equipment Training (PPE).
Maintain report of accidents for management action.
Assumes any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Must have minimum 4 years of working experiences in the safety and security. Past experiences in resort environment will be an added advantage.
Strong analysis, investigation and documentation skills.
Ability to support and lead a team of people towards a specific objective.
Able to support the Security & Safety Manager in specific service projects and managing them until completion.
Able to perform root cause analysis and investigation.
Able to perform risk and hazard analysis.
OSHA knowledge and computer literate.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must be willing to work in the Langkawi island.
