Summary:
Vice President of Master Facility Planning & Construction will lead and oversee all aspects of system construction projects, system facility planning and management to support the AC mission of providing high-quality healthcare services. Description
1. Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans for facility construction and renovation projects, aligning with AC goals and objectives. Conduct feasibility studies and assess the needs of the hospital to identify priority projects and initiatives.
2. Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to procurement, construction, and closeout. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
3. Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and allocation of resources. Track project expenses, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, safety standards, and healthcare industry requirements. Coordinate the regulatory agencies and obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for AC leadership and external stakeholders regarding construction projects and facility planning initiatives. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and expectations.
6. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and construction quality. Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry best practices.
7. Lead a multidisciplinary team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, architects, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
8. Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms of materials and services. Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
