The Product Management role defines the why, when and what of the product to be built. They will do so by leading cross-functional teams from a product’s conception all the way through to its successful launch.
The Product Manager will be accountable for product:
a. Strategy
The product manager is responsible for setting a product vision and strategy. The product manager’s job is to clearly articulate the business value to the product and development teams so that they understand the intent behind each product release. The product manager owns the roadmap and must prioritize building what matters most to achieve LawNet Technology Services’ strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
b. Ideation
The product manager will own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas. The product manager will determine which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward — namely those that will achieve key objectives for the product line and LawNet Technology Services’ strategy. To this end, the product manager also ensures that feedback and requests are seamlessly integrated into the product planning and development processes. The product manager then communicates the status of ideas back to the stakeholders, members, partners, and internal team members who submitted them.
c. Features
The product manager will prioritize features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives. This requires making difficult trade-off decisions based on the value that new features will deliver to customers and to the business. The product manager is also responsible for defining the requirements for each feature and the desired user experience. The product manager will work closely with the engineering teams (whether internal or external) on the technical specifications and ensure that teams have all the information they need to deliver a complete product.
d. Releases
The product manager must plan with the project managers on what the teams will deliver and the timeline for implementation. The product manager will work with the project manager to define the release process and coordinate all the activities required to bring the product to market. This involves mitigating impediments and bridging gaps between different functions within the Singapore Academy of Law Group and aligning all the teams involved — namely marketing, sales, customer support and back office. Responsibilities also include managing dependencies in and across releases to complete release phases and milestones.
In addition, the Product Manager will be responsible for building the Product Management practice within LawNet Technology Service.
Candidates for this position must be highly motivated, tenacious, and self-starters with a track record of building great products in time and on budget. Experience in collaborating and motivating high performance teams is a plus!
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of exceeding KPIs and successfully:

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and continually improve product management skills through self-learning.
- Polished professionalism with outstanding strategic, organizational, planning (project & finances), communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong metrics and analytical orientation.
- Background operating in Legal practice will be a plus.
- Background in implementing systems like eCommerce, CRM or CMS will be a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
Candidates who are more seasoned and/or have a stronger skillset in tech product management shall be considered for Deputy Director.
