As a Carpenter and Joiner at OAZ construction pty Ltd, you will undertake a range of tasks related to carpentry and construction.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Examining sketches and blueprints to determine necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
-Procuring timbers and materials, arranging layouts, and verifying precise measurements and cuts.
-Joining and securing contoured elements using appropriate methods like nails.
-Erecting frameworks and roof systems, setting up sub-flooring and floorboards and ensuring structural precision.
-Mounting fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding, as well as door and window frames.
-Crafting structures and fittings by assembling prepped wooden components.
-Forming wood joints through cutting and shaping methodologies.
-Restoring existing fixtures and working with diverse materials such as plastic laminates, perspex, and metals.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
-Demonstrated expertise as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years in the construction industry.
-Robust knowledge and comprehension of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
-Proficient in deciphering and understanding blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
-Keen attention to detail and precision in meeting project specifications.
-Outstanding problem-solving skills and the capability to devise practical solutions.
-Effective communication and collaboration aptitude for seamless teamwork.
-Proven ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines.
-Physical endurance and adaptability to work in diverse conditions and environments.
-Trade qualification or certification in Carpentry is preferred but not essential.
