The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, the Cardiometabolic and Informatics (CMI) Business, part of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) Division is looking for a Regional Finance Analyst based in Galway.
Reporting to the FP&A Controller for CM International, the position supports all aspects of financial planning and analysis and accounting related to the CM commercial operations in the SW & Emerging region including analysis to support key growth and profitability programs. Financial planning activities include annual plan, regular LBE's, and capital planning. Accounting activities include the monthly close, variance analysis, internal management reporting, and monthly reporting of results versus benchmarks including prior year, Plan and LBEs. The position provides financial support to the Cardiometabolic Regional Commercial Director for South West & Emerging Markets.
What You’ll Do
- Provision of full Finance/FP&A support to the South West & Emerging Commercial region and leadership team in the region;
- Delivery of a wide range of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly data analysis and reporting schedules/templates
- Owning the ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P/L
- Development of full detailed P&L Rolling Latest Best Estimates (RLBEs)
- Preparation of Regional Month End Operating Review driving insightful variance analysis of Revenues, Margins and Operating Expenditure
- Complete full detailed monthly P&L performance variance analysis
- Develop models, scenarios and reporting requirements to support the Commercial business
- Support commercial organisation with detailed financial analysis to minimise risks and maximise opportunities
- Monitor & report on sales commissions / bonuses
- Strong working relationship and partnering with the commercial lead and management team
- Strong working relationship with the Galway shared service team and cross functional teams
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree level and/or accountancy qualification
- Working in Finance or similar environment in international organisation
- Sales finance and/or marketing finance experience strongly recommended
- Strong communication skills - oral, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to present financial data and concepts to management and non-financial personnel
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools (PowerOn, PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, Salesforce.com, Qlikview, PowerBI Applications)
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team or on own initiative
- Ability to understand and summarise financial data
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Ability to work with the commercial business units in different time zones.
- The ability to achieve tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent MS Excel skills
