We are a small professional team that offers a friendly, progressive, and mutually supportive working environment and we are looking for an individual with an interest in Finance to join us.
Due to maternity leave, we are looking to recruit a Senior Accounting Technician on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
As a Senior Accounting Technician, you will be providing management accounting support to a range of services within the Adult Social Care Department.
The work is both interesting and varied and includes:
•Preparation of monthly budget monitoring reports
•Supporting budget managers to deliver a sustainable budget by analysing budget information and providing financial advice
•Ensuring that transactions are posted correctly in the financial ledger
•Maintaining the budgets for your areas of responsibility in conjunction with budget managers
•Completing monthly reconciliations of income and expenditure in relation to joint funded arrangements
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
•Excellent IT, Excel, and numeracy skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to work to deadlines
•Good problem solving and analytical skills
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
A recognised accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or relevant experience is required.
