Looking for a part-time role that will allow you to grow your finance skills in the exciting world of media and advertising? The Media Precinct is looking for a Media Finance Intern to join our team on a part-time basis! This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning how media agencies operate.
At The Media Precinct, we pride ourselves on our deep understanding of humans and our use of data to bring actionable insights to our clients. As a full-service media and content agency, we work with a wide range of local and global brands and provide both media planning and buying services as well as creative content.
Responsibilities
Reporting to and working closely with our Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Digital platform invoices: routinely export invoices from our digital marketing platforms e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok etc., and import them into our finance system.
- Email Management: serve as a point of contact for the accounts email account, ensuring timely response and resolution of inquiries.
- Invoice Management: send invoices and emails promptly to the relevant teams, maintaining a well-organised system.
- Remittances: dispatch monthly remittances accurately and in a timely manner.
- Payment Processing: assist with weekly payment runs to ensure vendors and partners are paid promptly.
- Reconciliation Support: aid the team in 3rd party invoice reconciliations and client audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Project Support: collaborate with the team on various ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Reporting: assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements and occasionally assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- You have an understanding of finance fundamentals.
- You're eager to learn advertising and media industry billing practices.
- You're organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- You can manage diverse and conflicting priorities efficiently and effectively.
- You’re a team player with a can-do attitude that’s happy to lend a helping hand.
- You're can pick-up new software easily e.g. Spectra Media Desktop (training provided).
- You have an applied understanding of the Microsoft suite - specifically Excel and Outlook.
- You're looking for a part-time role, approximately 2-3 days a week.
