About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Anwendungsentwickler Java (m/w/d) to join our team in Stuttgart. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing and maintaining the automated dunning process (AGM), a critical component of the judicial system that facilitates efficient enforcement of monetary claims. Your responsibilities will include developing, modernizing, and supporting backend applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing data systems, and contributing to ongoing digital transformation projects. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement innovative solutions, streamline processes, and ensure high-quality standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. You should have proven expertise in Java backend development, with a solid understanding of database management and SQL, preferably Oracle. Practical experience with Kubernetes distributions such as OpenShift is essential. Additionally, a willingness to learn foundational technologies related to automated judicial processes, including IBM z/OS mainframe architectures and COBOL programming, is required. Strong process understanding, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are vital. The candidate should demonstrate self-responsibility, structured working methods, creativity, and agility, along with organizational skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
As a Java Application Developer, your key responsibilities include ensuring efficient operation of business processes and contributing to the modernization efforts of the judicial IT infrastructure. You will monitor process performance, identify causes of issues, and implement workarounds or solutions to maintain optimal workflows. Daily management of processes related to test and integration systems will be part of your routine, along with overseeing changes and updates. You will independently design, adapt, and optimize existing processes, ensuring they align with current standards and future modernization goals. A significant aspect of your role involves contributing to the Modernisierung Mahnverfahren 2030 project, which aims to restructure data storage on SQL databases and advance the automation of the dunning process, moving towards a fully electronic and automated workflow.
