About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer (m/w/d) to join our team either in Konstanz, Berlin, or remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming visionary ideas into practical software solutions that support societal advancements. You will work on diverse projects with a variety of clients, focusing on digitalization initiatives across Germany. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality code through automated testing and code reviews. You will also participate in agile development processes, including pair programming and continuous integration/delivery pipelines. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related field. You should have strong proficiency in Java application development, with experience using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot. Familiarity with tools like Jenkins and GIT is essential. Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman in cloud environments is advantageous. A foundational understanding of containerization principles and an interest in DevOps practices are desirable. Additionally, you should be interested in integrating AI tools into software development processes and capable of applying them critically and effectively. Motivation for agile working, continuous learning, and staying updated on new technologies and trends are crucial. Proficiency in German at least at C1 level is required to ensure effective communication within the team and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage deeply with client requirements and develop innovative technical solutions.
• Design and implement user stories in Java, collaborating closely with team members.
• Develop automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of code.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions to improve code quality and share knowledge.
• Utilize and optimize the established CI/CD pipeline to streamline deployment processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and stay updated on emerging technologies.
• Participate actively in agile teams, supporting iterative development and delivery.
