About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Leipzig. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems using Python, designing and implementing APIs, services, and integrations that are reliable and performant. Your work will directly impact our core platforms, ensuring they operate smoothly under real-world loads. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring the stability and scalability of our systems. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess several years of professional experience in software development with Python, demonstrating a strong commitment to clean code, testing, and maintainability. You should have hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks such as Django, as well as proficiency with databases like PostgreSQL. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, monitoring solutions such as Grafana, and Linux operating systems is essential. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git-based workflows is required. You should demonstrate ownership, technical depth, and a desire to take responsibility for complex projects. Fluency in both German and English (minimum C1 level) is necessary to communicate effectively within our international team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain productive Python backend systems, APIs, and integrations to support our online recruiting platforms.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable services capable of handling real-world traffic and data loads.
- Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to craft pragmatic solutions for complex technical requirements.
- Continuously improve testing strategies, test coverage, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and system performance.
- Enhance system observability through monitoring and logging solutions, ensuring high system availability and robustness.
- Participate actively in architectural discussions, system design, and technical decision-making processes.
- Work closely with team members to promote best practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing.
