About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer (m/w/d) to join our team in Berlin, Konstanz, or remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming our clients' visions into reality by developing innovative software solutions that support societal progress through technology. You will work closely with diverse clients and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize applications using Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining automated tests, conducting code reviews, and participating in pair programming sessions to ensure high-quality deliverables. Additionally, you will be involved in optimizing our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and exploring new trends in DevOps and containerization to enhance our development processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree or equivalent vocational training in computer science or related fields. You should have solid experience in application development using Java, with familiarity in frameworks like Spring Boot, and tools such as Jenkins and GIT. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes within cloud environments is advantageous. A fundamental understanding of containerization concepts and a keen interest in DevOps practices are desirable. You should be enthusiastic about agile methodologies and motivated to continuously update your skills with emerging technologies and industry trends. Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) is required to effectively communicate within our team and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage deeply with our clients’ technical challenges and develop innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
• Design and implement user stories and application features in Java, collaborating effectively with team members.
• Create automated tests to ensure the robustness and quality of the software.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Optimize and maintain the established CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, tools, and trends in software engineering, DevOps, and containerization, integrating them into our workflows where appropriate.
