About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Java Enterprise Developer and Architect (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and integration of enterprise applications within our IT landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing modernization efforts of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects in a collaborative environment, utilizing the latest technologies and methodologies in Java enterprise development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in Java programming with practical experience in enterprise application development. Knowledge of Jakarta EE and MicroProfile frameworks, including JMS, EJB / CDI, and REST APIs secured with JWT, is essential. Familiarity with JEE application servers and Quarkus, especially its MicroProfile implementation, is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience working with test frameworks such as JUnit and demonstrate a structured, independent approach to work, with proven ability to collaborate effectively within self-organized teams. Strong analytical skills and the ability to abstract complex concepts are important attributes for success in this role. Additional advantageous skills include knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, OpenAPI, integration across different platforms, and proficiency with build tools like GitLab CI and Maven. Experience with cloud-native applications, particularly on AWS, will be considered a plus.

- Design, develop, and implement enhancements to existing applications, ensuring seamless integration of self-developed solutions and standard software components.
- Collaborate closely with platform teams to incorporate operational considerations into application development, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
- Support application development teams by providing technical guidance and expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate functional and non-functional requirements from operational and development perspectives to ensure comprehensive solutions.
- Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and testing activities to uphold high-quality standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve application architecture and development processes.
