About The Role
We are seeking an engaged and highly skilled Java Enterprise Developer and Architect (m/w/d) to join our team at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our application landscape by developing and implementing integration concepts for both internally developed applications and standard software solutions. Your expertise will support the continuous enhancement of our IT infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and scalability. You will work closely with platform teams to incorporate operational aspects into your development processes, ensuring robust and maintainable solutions. Additionally, you will assist in application development tasks, analyze functional and non-functional requirements from operational and development perspectives, and contribute to the overall architecture planning of our IT systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the technological direction of our organization while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience with Java programming and a solid understanding of enterprise-level application development. Proficiency in Jakarta EE and MicroProfile, especially JMS, EJB / CDI, and REST APIs secured with JWT, is essential. Familiarity with JEE application servers and Quarkus (MicroProfile implementation) is required. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, along with a self-directed and methodical work approach, is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and experience working within self-organized teams. Additional knowledge in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, OpenAPI, application integration across platforms, and cloud-native principles—particularly AWS—is advantageous. A background in using build tools like GitLab CI and Maven will also be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integration concepts for self-developed applications and standard software solutions to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Collaborate closely with platform teams to incorporate operational considerations into development workflows, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Support application development initiatives by providing architectural guidance and technical expertise.
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate functional and non-functional requirements from operational and development teams, translating them into effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our IT landscape.
