About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer specializing in Delphi, Java, and Oracle PL/SQL to join our IT development team within the securities processing division. In this role, you will be integral to maintaining and enhancing our existing legacy systems that handle SWIFT messaging and payment settlement processes. Your expertise will contribute to the development, support, and optimization of critical modules responsible for generating and receiving SWIFT messages, ensuring seamless communication and transaction processing within our banking infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed university degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification with relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in Delphi and Java programming languages with a solid understanding of their application in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle, with hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Basic understanding of banking processes related to payments and settlement, with familiarity in SWIFT messaging standards being advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create precise problem analyses and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills in German, both written and spoken, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing legacy applications responsible for SWIFT message generation and reception.
• Support the automated and manual processing of SWIFT messages within payment and settlement workflows.
• Conduct technical analysis and develop solution concepts that align with the requirements of internal business units.
• Design, develop, and implement stable and efficient software solutions to meet operational needs.
• Collaborate closely with team members during requirements engineering, testing, and operational phases to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in troubleshooting, bug fixing, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and reliability.
