About the Role:

Kasagi Labo is seeking a Data Engineer to join our forward-thinking team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for the overall development life-cycle and delivery of a cloud-native, multi-tenant content delivery and social networking platform. This role is ideal for experienced individuals who are ready to take on more technical responsibilities and contribute to the data infrastructure of our cutting-edge technology platform.

What you can expect to work on:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that address data needs.
• Architect and optimize data models and databases, to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain robust data infrastructure, including modern S3 data lake solutions

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Expertise in big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g.,, Spark, Kafka, Cloud equivalent/EMR Glue) for processing large-scale datasets.
• High proficiency in SQL and SparkSQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SparkSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

To independently develop interactive dashboard using Power BI based on requirement and information provided by client.

• Develop dashboards and reports leveraging Power BI
• Design interactive and engaging data visualizations to communicate insights

Administer, maintain and support MFM Group of Companies Servers, IT related computer hardware & software, network infrastructure & its connectivity to ensure smooth operation.

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure efficiency in PC software, hardware support and high availability of network infrastructure for WAN (broadband) and LAN, wired and wireless communication within the Group of Companies.

• Proactively monitor, identify and resolve technical problems, network infrastructure, configure and administer IT related hardware/software problems to meet users’ expectations within a stipulated time.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for confirming the location of various buildings in the city center using a smartphone camera and our proprietary app. Your primary task will be to capture and upload photos of a significant number of buildings, ensuring accurate documentation of their locations.
