A Day in the Life

The Quality Engineer be responsible to ensure that sterilization process comply with the specification and regulatory government agencies requirements – FDA, PMDA, ISO 13485. Will lead and participate in the Global Sterilization committee and standardization.

Canberra Hospital Expansion Project – CHS is constructing a new critical services building called ‘Building 5’ which is a 44,000sqm nine storey building specifically designed to deliver state-of-the-art acute clinical services at the Canberra Hospital. Building 5 is the largest healthcare infrastructure project undertaken in the Territory’s history and it represents the largest clinical and operational change program to ever be implemented by Canberra Health Services. Building 5 integrates with a number of existing buildings at the Campus including Building 1 and Building 2, to facilitate a seamless public thoroughfare, patient transportation and back-of-house logistics distribution.

North Canberra Hospital - As of 3 July 2023 Calvary Public Hospital Bruce transitioned to CHS and became North Canberra Hospital. The transition will deliver a health system networked under one provider and will provide increased workforce opportunities for staff at both CHS sites. The ACT Government will be building a new northside hospital on the existing hospital campus in Bruce to meet the growing health care needs of our community, with construction to commence mid-decade providing more beds, increased services, and increased career opportunities.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Executive to oversee and optimize the efficiency of our projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the operations and manpower for our projects - ensuring that project deliverables, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Performance Standards are not only met but exceeded. Your focus will be on driving operational excellence while working closely with all project stakeholders to address their concerns and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the operational and cost efficiency of assigned projects.
• Ensure that project deliverables, KPIs, and Performance Standards are consistently met and surpassed.
• Assist in setting up new projects and contribute to the development of Project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to gain insights into their requirements and proactively address any issues.
• Implement preventive and corrective measures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Continuously review, initiate, and develop internal processes and procedures to optimize performance.
• Conduct regular checks on operational records and assess the adequacy of controls.
• Supervise, manage service delivery, and support the recovery of operations teams.
• Monitor and conduct performance reviews for operations teams, ensuring they achieve their performance targets.
• Assist in recruitment, training, roster planning, and deployment of personnel.
• Be available on standby when required, based on project needs.
• Handle vendor management and reviews as necessary.

Requirements:

• A Diploma/Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing manpower operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse teams.
• Strong writing skills to draft reports, SOPs, and other operational documents.
