Job Scope
1. You will be part of a cross-functional, self-organizing agile squad to support the development and testing
of a national system in the public sector.
2. In your capacity as the Developer in the squad, you will be delivering the most quality of work for new
features.
3. And, as a specialist in development for both Web frontend and Backend APIs, to ensure the new
changes went through code quality and security scanning process, CI/CD process and eventually
promote it to different environments including production.
Job Description
1. Pickup and kick-off cards with leads to understand the task, get all the required clarification done and
propose alternative solutions.
2. Assess and implement new changes in good quality and with test covered.
3. Showcase and review the new changes together with team members.
4. Actively work with other development and QA members to solve challenges.
5. Able to provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to other team members.
6. Carry out feasibility studies and impact analysis for new feature.
7. Pro-actively contribute innovative ideas for improvements.
8. Evaluate, select and formulate best solution for technical spike cards.
9. Support production environment and attend the escalated issues if required.
Mandatory hands-on experience with: Core languages and knowledge:
1. Development experience in Java language, Spring/SpringBoot framework and ReactJS framework.
2. Solid understanding of containerization and microservice design, and familiar with Helm and Kubernetes.
3. Solid understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery both in
principle and in practice.
4. Ability to create unit tests and integration tests, and integrate with continuous integration and code
coverage tools to ensure high code coverage.
5. Strong work responsibility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to details and critical thinking.
7. Ability to work in an agile squad, unstructured and fast-paced environment.
Also be advantageous to have working knowledge of:
1. Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean etc.)
2. SHIP-HATS - the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery component within SG Government
Tech Stack (SGTS)
3. Messaging services and usage
4. AWS Cloud Infra and Database design
