Family focused team, new equipment, located in a great community!Summary
Performs daily imaging and delivers daily prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to radiation therapy patients safely and accurately.Job Description
This position is for PRN coverage in both Sioux Falls, South Dakota and for Worthington, Minnesota. The successful candidate will utilize their strong communication skills and specialized radiotherapy knowledge to provide compassionate patient-centered care in an open and communicative Radiation Oncology team. Sioux Falls equipment includes two main treatment vaults with TrueBeams (one standard MLC and one High Def MLC). Both TrueBeams have 6 dof couches and VisionRT surface guidance to support our active stereotactic and breath-hold programs. A third treatment vault utilizes an Accuray Tomotherapy for specialized cases. Worthington equipment uses one Truebeam (6 dof couch and standard MLC) and a Cannon CT scanner, and Varian IDENTIFY for surface guiadance. Both departments use Varian Aria v16 and Sun Nuclear software products and equipment are used for daily QA.
The radiation therapist incorporates their technical knowledge of the equipment and expertise of clinical treatment set-up, anatomical landmarks, treatment recording and management during patient care. The therapist must be able to interact effectively and accurately with patients and their family members, physicians, healthcare workers, and radiation oncology department personnel. Possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in accurate delivery of prescribed doses of radiation, safety of patient during treatment, and documentation of patient care in the patient treatment record and inpatient chart (if applicable). A patient's sensitivity and confidentiality must be practiced at all times with adherence all HIPAA compliance standards. The therapist develops an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status and reports that to the appropriate staff. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations.

JOB SUMMARY
The Respiratory Therapist supports the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) in delivering inpatient and outpatient respiratory therapy services to patients from neonatal to geriatric, under the direction of physicians and administration. In this role, the individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgment to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Respiratory Therapists' assist in transportation of incubated patients with the special emphasis in maintaining airways and providing adequate ventilation and oxygenation. Assess modalities of respiratory therapy, recommend changes - including improvements appropriate to the delivery of respiratory care.
