Job Summary

Development and execution of the project cost estimation, cost plan, monitor costs and collects cost data to ensure conformity with management's budget directives, cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support or lead in cost estimation for projects at various stages of the project development like FS, FEED and EPC.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation and compilation of the overall project Class 3 cost estimate taking input from FEED contractors.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be part of the IFRS 17 systems team as a Senior Finance System Engineer. The key role to be performed is to elicit and analyse business requirements, supports System Integration Test (SIT), support Users’ Acceptance Test (UAT) and maintain IFRS 17 systems for business-as-usual.

The Job

1) Contribute to the IFRS 17 systems team:

· Facilitate / conduct workshops for business users to identify project requirements. Gather, analyse, document and follow up on user requirements.

· Based on the requirements, generate artefacts needed for solution generation. These artefacts include – mapping documents, requirements for integration/interface specifications, site-map and page-flow, and the usage of UML diagrams to detail the process flow and solution.

· Understanding the core IFRS17 requirements, software solution and how to implement this within Great Eastern Finance and Actuarial business teams.

· Build an understanding on IFRS17 systems and configuration in order to support the business needs.

· Ability to analyse and pull out data from database to analyse situations and defects and suggest improvements.

· Writes requirements mapping document for IFRS17 solution product - inbound interface requirements document

· Designs and implements unit test cases and expected results

· Assembles System Test cases and expected results

· Investigates System Test, Integration Test and UAT defects

Our Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Finance / Insurance degree.

• Certified pertaining to Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent).

• Certified Agile / Scrum practitioner will be an added advantage

• Minimum 5 years working experience in IT and experience handling projects or BAU in Insurance

• core systems or Finance systems.

• Experience in implementing or handling core Insurance systems or experience in financial reporting systems.

Our Client is a leader in the Environmental industry in Singapore. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Finance Controller to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow, including optimization, forecasting, expense management, debt management, collection, budgeting, consolidation, and P&L forecast.
• Responsible for funds in banks for unexpected expenses, procurement activities and operations.
• Develop risk management/control strategy for the Group and handle monthly group consolidation and results analysis.
• Responsible for implementation of financial strategies, including risk minimization and cost enhancement.
• Oversee and manage financial reports, audits, and tax matters and prepare financial metrics based on P&L.
• Provide ROI analysis for overseas investments and advice on investment decisions.
• Oversee finance team, such as performance management and team bonding.
• Provide leadership and guidance, fostering a culture of improvement and accountability.
• Lead financial projects to optimize production and cash flow.
• Develop and maintain ERP and MIS projects.
• Improve internal controls and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Analys and recommend maximizing returns on excess funds.
• Responsible for financial performance and provide insights and recommendations.
• Maintain good relationships with bankers and liquidity providers.
• Perform ad-hoc duties related to the Company’s business activities.

Requirement

• Min Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or CPA
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry
• Strong experience in FP&A, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

• Handle full set of accounts
• Manage month-end, year-end closing with the Finance team and Stakeholders (Internal and External).
• Preparation of assigned monthly and yearly management reports, Audit, Fixed Assets Schedule and Bank Reconciliation
• Management of Quarterly GST reporting (partial / whole company level).
• Assist with Fixed Assets, Inventories physical sighting/ count exercises, when assigned.
• Maintenance of financial records in accordance with statutory requirements, ensure its approvaland completeness in our ERP/ Accounts.
• Resolve Accounting related discrepancies with stakeholders
• Other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by the HOD/ CFO.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in Service Industry
• Experience in managing full set of accounts
• Familiar with Synergix ERP will be a bonus
• Energetic and able to work well in a fast-paced, high work volume, results-oriented, collaborative environment.
• 5 days work at Loyang (Hybrid work arrangement)
• Salary $3500 - $4500
• 1 Year Contract (renewable or convertible to perm)
• Start work IMMEDIATELY
