Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to welcome applications for the post of Consultant in Respiratory Medicine within the Acute Adult Care Division. This post provides an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Respiratory team and be given the opportunity to continue learning and specialising in particular areas. We are looking for highly motivated colleagues with excellent communication and team working skills who want to deliver the best respiratory care for our local population. You will have hold MRCP (or equivalent) and you must be fully registered with the GMC and be on its Register, or within six months of obtaining your CCT. These posts seek to combine your commitment to Respiratory Care, recognising that you may also wish to retain an interest in a specialist field.

The trust is looking to recruit one Respiratory consultant to grow the team and allow further innovation and specialisation to occur. The posts will primarily be based at the Royal Bolton Hospital and support the delivery of a seven-day Respiratory Consultant service on a 1 in 8 Respiratory rota, with minimal GIM commitment.

We will also consider applications from candidates who are currently working as Locum NHS consultants and applying to be on the GMC specialist register via CESR. If successful, they will be initially offered a locum consultant post on a1 year fixed term contractwhilst they obtain their Specialist registration.

The appointed doctor will share inpatient responsibilities with the other 7 consultants to cover 2 acute respiratory wards with daily consultant led ward rounds on dedicated ward weeks without simultaneous out-patient clinic commitments. In-patient work includes a rotating in-reach service to the emergency department and admissions wards with a daily 4 patient rapid access clinic. The doctor will also support a well-established and diverse out patients’ service and virtual ward services which we are in the process of developing. We have an acute NIV service, interventional pulmonology service including Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Medical Thoracoscopy, a dedicated pleural clinic, a TB clinic and a modern lung function laboratory. A job plan for the post will be agreed with the successful candidates after appointment. There are opportunities to develop new services and expand and consolidate existing services depending on the successful candidates’ interests, including training in EBUS. The successful candidates will be encouraged and supported to develop their subspecialty interests.

We are happy to consider flexible working requests, such as part time or annualised hours, but you will be expected to work shifts on a rota that reflects and supports the needs of the department.

Opportunities exist to join our large diagnostic and interventional imaging unit as it expands to provide services as part of a tertiary referral and major trauma centre development. In addition, we are proud to be able to say that our IR Service has recently been granted Exemplar status by the BSIR in 2020.This post is for an initial term of 6 months.

We support a large range of sub-specialities including vascular surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, trauma, renal
medicine and complex abdominal surgery. We would like to invite you to be a part of our exciting personnel and
equipment expansion, including state of the art CT, PETCT, hybrid interventional theatre, and a brand new 4th MRI
scanner suite. We are one of the largest providers of healthcare in the area offering new ‘state of the art’ facilities and
have a complement of over 900 beds for a local population of 390,000 and a regional population of 1.5 million.

The post holder will be expected to provide a comprehensive interventional service, including acute and hyper-acute commitments, alongside the existing team of interventional radiologists.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide interventional services in vascular and nonvascular radiology,
with a component of general radiology. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in a Vascular
interventional on-call rota currently 1 in 10. An interest in body/general CT reporting, would be supported and
encouraged

It is anticipated that the appointee will support and enhance this service, by taking a leading role within the directorate,
and developing subspecialty expertise. This post will support expansion of current services and the development of
Regional Trauma and Vascular Services and will predominantly be based at Royal Preston Hospital; however, the
appointee will be expected to share the same role as the existing consultants, including supporting day case IR and
on-call at a spoke site. A proposed new model of care is currently under discussion for Lancashire South Cumbria &
Wigan which will include East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust along with already covered network sites such as
UHMB, BTH & WWL.

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has a well-developed Interventional Radiology department, consisting of a state-of-theart Philips Azurion Flexmove suite, 3 further intervention rooms, 2 of which have vascular capability, and a purposebuilt hybrid suite with Siemens Artis Zeego interventional angiography suite. There is a 7-bedded dedicated interventional radiology day unit, as well as specialised interventional radiographers and nurses to support daytime working and on-call, along with established advanced practitioners to support the vascular access service. There are
now 4 multislice CT scanners, 3 1.5T MRI scanners and a specialised extremity MRI scanner. A well-developed nuclear medicine department is on site, with two gamma cameras. PET-CT is also provided on site.





In addition, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals forms one of the major acute Trusts in the Northwest with all of the usual
specialties on site as well as being a Tertiary Centre for Lancashire & South Cumbria in the departments of
Neurosciences, Oncology, Plastic Surgery and Burns and Renal Medicine. The Trust was recently declared a regional
Trauma Centre. Undergraduate medical student teaching commenced in 2003 and the Trust has active and
developing links with the Universities of Manchester and Central Lancashire and there are medical students in the
hospital from 3rd to 5th year. Considerable opportunities exist for research and development, which are integral to
teaching hospital status.

How You’ll Succeed

We are looking to expand our clinical team for Dermatology services by recruiting two consultants.

Dermatology is a very busy specialty, providing care to around 550 adult and paediatric patients per week, working alongside experienced colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams with the goal to provide the best care for our patients. We are the best performing Dermatology service within Greater Manchester and this is achieved through great management, support from other services and dedication to providing excellent patient care to our community.

The Dermatology department are very proud of the services we provide to our patients and we would be keen to hear from enthusiastic applicants who want to help us keep providing excellent care and improving the services we offer.

The post holder will manage their own clinical workload and cover all types of dermatological conditions for two week wait, new and follow up patients and ward referrals, as well as performing minor operations and being an integral part of the sector MDT meetings.

We are seeking a highly exceptional and enthusiastic consultant colleague to join us in the Children’s and Young People’s Cancer service (CYPCS) at University College London Hospital (UCLH) for a locum consultant post in paediatric and TYA oncology, available from now to cover for maternity leave.

The postoffers candidates an opportunity to gain experience in teenage neuro-oncology and the other solid tumours of this age group (older cohorts of paediatric embryonal tumours; germ cell tumours, LCH, thyroid cancer and younger cohorts presenting with adult cancers). There is also an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of concurrent active management for children and teenagers referred for photon/ proton/ stereotactic and brachytherapy and participate in the medical management of those undergoing molecular radiotherapy. The role would include out of hours support to the children and young people’s sarcoma patients.

The current CYPCS team consists of 7 WTE CYP oncologists and 6 WTE TYA haematologists. The CYP oncology services provide care for the largest specialist radiotherapy cohort in the UK: UCH is one of two national providers for PBT and molecular radiotherapy and the national provider for paediatric brachytherapy. In addition, the team look after the entire range of TYA oncology diagnoses and host the chemoradiotherapy treatment options for the regional London Sarcoma Service.

Together, UCH and GOSH provide services for the North London ODN via the Children’s and TYA Primary Treatment Centres. A Joint GOSH-UCLH Partnership board, chaired by both Trust’s CEO’s, supports service delivery and development. UCH CYPCS is well supported by onsite HDU provision and a developmentally appropriate ICU for TYA patients and GOSH ICU for patients requiring PICU care < 13 years age.

Specialist senior nurse teams have led the innovation of independent practices in ambulatory care, provide nurse consultant clinics and lead a highly specialist nursing workforce. We are fortunate to have multi-disciplinary teams expert in complex trauma care and safeguarding and allied health professionals with complementary specialist expertise in prehabilitation and rehabilitation.

In addition to sub-speciality work, the post holder will contribute to the general paediatric oncology service, teaching and educational supervision roles. The posts will contribute to the CYPCS acute on-call rota. This will be a 1:5.5 consultant on call for paediatric oncology and 1:7 out of hours on call and weekends, with ward rounds on site each day; and subsequently on call from home with return if necessary. The CYPCS haematologists who are responsible for haematologic malignancy, run separate attending and on call rotas. The general paediatric team includes 14 paediatricians (10.6 WTE). Most participate in a consultant-of-the-week attending service, general paediatric clinics and participate in a 1:10 on-call.

Our facilities include the state-of-the-art Grafton Way Building which hosts the PBT services; the UCLH Macmillan cancer centre, a £100 million facility offering TYA inpatient chemotherapy protocols in an ambulatory care setting supported by local hotels with capability to support treatment for at least 100 new patients per year and age-appropriate cancer facilities across 2 floors of inpatient services. There are currently 20 inpatient beds in the UCLH Tower for the TYA age group and a further 10 – 15 beds for inpatient/ ambulatory care of children, including lead lined suites for the national therapeutic molecular radioisotope service.

Eligibility for full GMC registration and specialty accreditation in Paediatric Oncology (or equivalent) are required. Applicants who will be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview may apply.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Provision of high-quality claims management services to scheme members.
• Management of statutory claims from determination to finalisation, including application of technical expertise on complex claims.
• Respond to all clients’ needs within a timely manner to meet customer service standards.
• Maintain the claims management system including claim estimates.
• Compliance with legislative requirements and ethical standards including liaising with stakeholders where matters need to be referred.

We would like you to have:

• Knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Qld Act 2003.

What You'll Be Doing

The SNS & FICC team supports the Structured Notes and Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities business with enhanced reporting, governance, and FP&A requirements. FICC’s accountabilities involve Financial Planning & Analysis for that segment of Global Markets while supporting various ad-hoc requirements from business and finance. As a Sr. Financial Analyst/Consultant, you will be mainly accountable for the delivery of new initiatives impacting Trading and Finance, supporting the desk with FP&A monthly and quarterly analysis of business performance, comparative analysis and other ad hoc requests for the business.

How You'll Succeed

• Support with FP&A activities and various ad-hoc requests - Provide timely and accurate analyses of desks’ financial plans and autonomously reply to ad-hoc requests from business and Finance partners. Role will have a specific focus on Quarterly Comparative analysis for GMs with an in-depth review of FICC businesses. Solid understanding of FP&A and resource utilization is also required for the role.

• Relationship management - Interact with Product control, Accounting, Central Planning, Treasury, Risk Management, Business Partners, and Capital Markets senior management on initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
