From social media campaigns through to sourcing stories for internal newsletters through to assisting the delivery of events, the Communications Assistant is involved in a wide range of communications.

This is a junior communications role that will support day-to-day activity in the communications team.

This will include the production of press releases, internal and external newsletters, posters and presentations, social media activity, arranging meetings and events, and distribution of communications.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to communicate with and secure the engagement of the local community, stakeholders and the colleagues at ELHT.

The Trust’s Communications Team forms part of a wider blended team with East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. This provides a unique and progressive take with multiple joint posts.

• Support the communications team in the delivery of an effective communications service by commissioning, writing and co-ordinating compelling Trust related articles for use in internal and external publications, social media and web platforms.
• Support the communications press office function by maintain an accurate record of all media enquiries ensuring they are logged, answered or referred on.
• Draft press releases and non-contentious statements for authorisation by Head of Communications.
• Maintain the photo library and consent forms.
• Ensure that corporate information is kept up to date on the intranet and website.
• Be responsible for sourcing and creating new social media content that promotes the Trust and its events, creating captivating campaigns.
• Produce media and social media reports for informing the Board of activity (proactive and reactive) on a monthly basis.
• Facilitate individual communications campaign plans and co-ordinate a range of support communications activities such as internal and external communications.
• Plan, organise and promote key communications events such as awareness days. Develop case studies which can be used in newsletters, press releases, website and social media platforms.
• Undertake photography/video recording for events, for specific publications and for the website and social media.
• Undertake surveys or audits, as necessary to own work e.g. campaign evaluation, internal communications surveys.

Job Description

• The Securities Services’ Marketing & Communications team strategically plans and executes APAC’s internal and external marketing and communications initiatives.
• The team liaises with multiple stakeholders and senior management globally and across APAC within Securities Services business, aligning internal/external messaging with the strategic priorities of the business. In addition, they partner with other marcomms teams in different business areas, i.e. Global Markets and FIC / regions surrounding broader bank-wide initiatives.
• The primary focus of the role will be to drive and execute the implementation of the Securities Services’ marketing and communications strategy within the APAC region.
• The position sits within the Securities Services business in Singapore to drive effective communication, marketing, events and award strategies.
• Working closely with the Securities Services’ marketing team across the APAC region, the individual is responsible for producing product and services marketing materials, thought leadership articles, industry award submissions, across a broad range of marketing channels to raise Securities Services’ brand, profile and helps position it as a market leader in the industry.
• The individual will report directly to the Head of Marketing & Comms in APAC for Securities Services business and will be located in Singapore.

Job Requirements

• About 10 years & above relevant experience is required

• A strong strategic thinker, who can develop marketing strategies, plan and execute marketing plans in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Communications, APAC

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of quickly producing compelling messages, be it for events invitations, emailing, articles, awards submissions, key messages for press engagement, etc.

• Proven strong track record of stakeholder management, including being able to build constructive working relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels, within different territories in APAC.

• A can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Roles and responsibilities

1. Accounting
   • Reviewing daily accounting transactions by accessing the ERP system or the Excel trackers.
   • Closing general ledgers each month by the agreed cut-off date and with high accuracy.
   • Reviewing customer and vendor ledgers on a weekly and monthly basis and highlighting any discrepancies to agreed limits or terms.
2. Cash Management
   • Monitoring daily cash inflow and outflow to ensure proper cash management and timely payment to vendors and financial institutions
3. Trade Finance
   • Reviewing all Trade Finance (TF) applications before submitting to the various banks, including ensuring the most efficient facility is used.
   • Ensuring timely submission of pre or post shipment documents to the bank
   • Ensuring settlement of TF is done within due date and without incurring penalties or unnecessary charges
4. Management Reports
   • Assisting the Head of Finance Operations in preparation of monthly financial management reports
5. Audit
   • Assist in interim and annual audit of the different country operations
   • Assist in interim and annual audits of the different business lines / brands.
6. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
