Overview
Oversees general accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting functions. Ensures efficient accounting processes, manages audits, optimizes working capital, and upholds internal controls. Directly reports to the Finance Director and supervises a payables officer, collaborating closely with a management and systems accountant.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervising general accounting tasks (e.g., general ledger, payables, receivables), audits, and budgetary controls.
- Maintaining robust internal control systems to protect company assets.
- Handling accounts closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes within set timelines.
- Generating accurate operating and financial reports for leadership, incorporating actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyzing operational results, identifying profit opportunities, and making recommendations to senior management.
- Managing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
- Optimizing working capital through credit risk management, supplier payment terms, and treasury controls.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and overseeing timely filings.
- Supporting holding company and subsidiary accounts.
- Collaborating with various teams for compliance and achieving organizational targets.
- Performing additional duties as required, including corporate secretarial matters and statistical reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- External audit experience or strong knowledge of internal controls preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative, multitasking ability, and timeliness.
- Meticulous, independent, and organized with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Office, and ERP systems.
