Job Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.

• Participate as an active member of the branch team, following the Branch Playbook and participating in daily huddles

• Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed or acting as a financial wellness associate

• Accept and accurately process all financial service transactions

• Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures

• Shadows branch platform teammates and line of business partners in client appointments and business calling activities

• Proactively work to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed

• Assists clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools

• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Qualifications

• Graduation date by December 2024 or May 2025 (required)

• Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills

• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work or internship experience and/or extracurricular activities

• Ability to learn quickly and take action in a fast-paced environment

• Effective sales skills (professional, assertive, confident, driven)

• Strong decision-making skills

The CIBC Summer Internship Program is designed to offer great work experience to complement students’ classroom training and career goals. Throughout the summer, interns will meet with our executive leadership team, network with employees and fellow interns, and participate in community outreach. Our Interns will work alongside a lean, proven team of investment professionals, gaining technical and analytical skills. 

CIBC’s Summer Internship program runs for 10 weeks beginning in June 2024 through August.  During this time, you will have access to training opportunities, mentorship, and leadership support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Private, Personal & Digital (PP&D) Banking in day-to-day business operations
• Assist with internal and external exams through document preparation
• Provide support to ongoing projects within the group
• Provide support to sales teams through creating and maintaining client leads, data, and reporting in Salesforce
• Analysis and reporting on various metrics required for sales and risk operations

Who You Are

• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills a plus

• Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• 3.0 GPA minimum
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
• To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025
