Description -
We are seeking for Preinstalled Image Engineer/PRISM Admin with a strong background in creating and managing preinstalled images for Windows operating systems, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of operating system internals, software customization, and deployment strategies. Furthermore, server client architecture domain knowledge and experience are significant plus.
Responsibilities:
Image Creation and Management:
Develop and maintain preinstalled images for Windows operating systems, ensuring they are optimized for performance and user experience.
Customize images to include specific drivers, applications, and settings according to project requirements.
Manage image versions and updates, ensuring consistency and reliability across deployments.
Software Integration:
Integrate various software components, drivers, and applications into preinstalled images.
Test and validate software compatibility and functionality within the images.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to software integration.
Good knowledge on SCCM infrastructure will be a plus.
Deployment Strategy:
Design and implement deployment strategies for preinstalled images, ensuring efficient and effective distribution.
Collaborate with IT teams to streamline deployment processes and tools.
Provide guidance and support for image deployment in different environments.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing of preinstalled images to ensure they meet quality standards and performance benchmarks.
Monitor and analyze system performance, making adjustments as necessary to optimize images.
Document image configurations and changes, maintaining a clear record for future reference.
Lab server-client infrastructure enablement and maintenance
Regular infrastructure cybersecurity & performance maintenance including servers, devices and network equipment.
Beta software check-in, validation and optimization for lab test environment readiness.
Relevant products production issues triage and tickets/communication state management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, quality assurance, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of preinstalled images.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with Windows deployment processes and tools, especially the OEM Pre-installation Kit (OPK) for creating custom images.
Strong understanding of Windows operating system internals, including drivers, applications, and registry settings.
Experience in creating and managing preinstalled images for Windows environments.
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization.
Familiarity with deployment tools and strategies, such as Windows Deployment Services (WDS) or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
Server-client architecture domain knowledge and experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
