Position: Executive / Senior Executive, Group Finance

Reporting to: General Manager, Group Finance

Job Description

• To compile and submit budgets and forecasts for the Asia Pacific business in cooperation with the relevant departments. Also, to compile and submit monthly performance results.
• In addition to analysing of sales and costs, to analyse capital efficiency, such as ROIC. including appropriate levels of inventory and fixed assets.
• To identify the causes of variances and problems. To report the results to the supervisor and management to encourages the parties concerned to make improvements.
• Periodic reporting to the head office in Japan.
• The companies to manage include not only the Singapore company but also subsidiaries in Southeast Asia managed by the holding company (Singapore).
• To compute and derive the value of investment using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method.
• To perform cash flow planning.
• To manage and train the subordinates.
• To respond to external inquiries (e.g., auditors, banks, etc.)
• Knowledge of JOX will be an added value.
• To manage transfer pricing arrangements.
• This position plays an important role in the finance department. In addition to cross functional operations excellence, he or she is also required to champion process improvement initiatives.
• To lead, motivate and develop the finance team.
• To perform any ad hoc tasks assigned.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting roles.
• Require communicating with our Japan HQ. Knowledge of Japanese language (written and spoken) is essential.
• Proficiency in management accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and able to work under pressure.
• Good analytical, interpersonal skills and good communication skills and be an effective team member with cooperative attitude.
• Possess positive attitude to work with good time management skill.

Candidates with the relevant working experience, able to write and speak Japanese Language.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of Accounts including General Ledger and Accounts Receivable function
• Track, monitor and account for government grants and funds
• Perform monthly reconciliation of sales and payroll record
• Update reports / schedules / projects movement from generated financial reports
• Preparation of quarterly GST report
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register reports by performing monthly generation of depreciation and bond from accounting system
• Assist in other ad hoc work assignments
• Liaise / Coordinate with clients, auditors and internal staff

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in MS applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Meticulous and numerically inclined
• Good in communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in oral and written in both English and Mandarin
• Pleasant and outgoing personality with the initiative to provide assistance to other colleagues
• Independent, reliable, organized and pays attention to details
• Ability to multitask and have sense of urgency to deliver results in a timely manner
• Knowledge in MYOB and SAP is a must
