Job Overview:
The Design Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our brand’s visual strategy. This individual will lead creative projects from concept to delivery, mentor junior designers, and ensure a cohesive look and feel across all digital, social, and physical brand touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Strategy and Execution
• Develop and execute a consistent brand visual strategy across digital channels, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and our e-commerce platforms.
• Translate marketing objectives into clear and effective designs, balancing aesthetics and functionality.
• Partner with the Head of Creative & Marketing and team to create compelling assets for product launches, campaigns, and digital advertisements.
2. Team Leadership and Collaboration
• Lead and mentor a small design team, providing direction, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with copywriters, social media managers, and external agencies to produce high-quality creative work.
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging experimentation and innovative design solutions.
3. Project Management
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within brand guidelines.
• Review and prioritize project timelines, maintaining high standards of quality across all deliverables.
4. Design System Development
• Establish and maintain a design system that supports consistency across all brand materials.
• Stay updated on design and industry trends, ensuring our brand stays innovative and engaging.
5. User-Centric Approach
• Champion a user-first perspective, leveraging customer insights to refine and adapt design strategies.
• Conduct design reviews and use feedback loops to ensure optimal user experiences.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in design roles, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital, social, and e-commerce designs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Experience in managing and mentoring design teams is a plus.
• Strong understanding of brand development, user experience, and design principles.
