Support at Home In house domiciliary services provides a range of domiciliary care and support services across Bridgend Borough which includes Secure Estate Service (Prison) .
We are seeking to recruit two full time Social Care Workers to join an established social care team based at Parc Prison Bridgend.
You will be required to work 36hrs per week as part of the rota requirements, shift patterns are based on a 12hr shift per day, due to the environment in which you will be located and the risk and safety measures in place to protect the prisoners and the workforce based at Parc Prison. During your shift, you will have opportunity to undertake E learning and other relevant training pertaining to your role, supervision and appraisal will also be undertaken with your Team Leader.
Your duties will include providing personal care to prisoners with care and support needs e.g., assisting individuals to wash, dress, manage their oral care, assist, and support with their toileting needs. Supporting and assisting with moving and handling transfers supporting individuals living with dementia. Full training will be provided.

The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, mainly between the hours of 7.30am and 8.30pm. As part of a team, your working pattern will include some weekends and bank holidays and you will have advanced notice of your scheduled working and rest days.
This post will require robust security checks by The Ministry of Justice, Key Holder, and self -defence training with G4’s security prior to this post commencing
