Job Summary

Job Description

In addition to primary team duties, the Team Trainer supports high engagement, productivity, and retention of New Members by organizing and delivering quality training on their home team. Team Trainers work in partnership with Team Leadership, their location’s Store Trainer, Team Member Services Generalists, and other qualified Team Members. The Director of Learning Transformation will be a key leader of DaVita University’s Learning Center of Excellence (CoE), a critical component of our evolving Wisdom department and learning strategy across the global DaVita Village. The Director will play a leading role in shaping, building, and transforming DaVita University in capability building, including immersive programs in transformational topics (e.g., Leadership, Clinical Support, GenAI) that incorporate best-practice learning design approaches, cutting-edge education technology solutions and performance support tools, and the discipline of measuring meaningful outcomes from upskilling interventions. The Director will partner closely with teams to understand the potential value to be unlocked from organizational capability building, and design and deliver innovative, contextualized upskilling solutions to capture that value.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Lead enterprise learning governance, including ownership of high-level intake management and consultation strategy.

• Partner with business owners to advance enterprise-level priorities, build organizational capability and ready workforce for future skills.

• Lead project teams in architecting, deploying, and measuring meaningful outcomes of innovative, high complexity learning solutions and transformative learning interventions employing cutting edge educational technologies and performance support tools.

• Drive enterprise learning innovation through pilot design and development of new and emerging technologies such as virtual reality, chat bots and artificial intelligence.

• Manage the performance and development of direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 6+ years professional experience in consulting and/or learning field.
• Advanced skills in learning transformation, solutions design, strategy, consultation, and executive presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• Experience project managing large, complex learning solutions, preferably involving emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence.
• Proficiency in learning measurement & analytics, including developing measurement tools and data visualization.
• Evidence of Research and Thought Leadership by contributing to the learning and development field through research and publications.

Job Description

In addition to primary team duties, the Team Trainer supports high engagement, productivity, and retention of New Members by organizing and delivering quality training on their home team. Team Trainers work in partnership with Team Leadership, their location’s Store Trainer, Team Member Services Generalists, and other qualified Team Members. The Team Trainer supports the high-quality, timely completion of New Member Connections for New Members, and supports Global, Regional, and department-specific training, including Operational Learning Pathways, Compliance, Occupational Safety, Food Safety, Product Knowledge, and Customer Service. Acts as a role model, maintaining a positive image and providing customer-obsessed service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

DUTIES APPLYING TO TEAM TRAINER

• Ensures new and ongoing store and team training programs are successfully delivered and completed.
• Works within training deadlines and goals.
• Coordinates with Team Leaders and the Store Trainer to schedule New Member training during their first four shifts.
• Coordinates with New Members, Team Leadership, and the Store Trainer on the timely completion of New Member Connections, regularly communicating status toward completion.
• Facilitates team-specific operational training for Team Members, including team Operational Learning Pathways and team-specific program rollouts.
• Attends Team Trainer meetings, as scheduled.  
• Acts as a role model for constant food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety.
• Trains all Team Members on customer service standards and looks for opportunities to provide timely feedback.
• Trains all Team Members on new products, their differentiation, sales tactics, and department placement.
• Consistently practices and models proper care, use, and maintenance of all team equipment and PPE.

Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. PhD in Nursing or related discipline. If there are no qualified applicants, we will consider those with Masters degree in Nursing or related discipline.

2. Minimum of two years of recent academic teaching in maternal-child and/or family nursing.

3. Prior clinical experience two years minimum.

4. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
