WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To become an HE Engagement Officer in our Student Services department, we need someone who is ambitious, motivated and organised.
The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools.
This position is based Cross Campus, therefore applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required. Please also note this is a maternity cover contract.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Actively seek ways of providing effective learning support using appropriate staff, resources and course arrangements. Where appropriate liaise with external HE support providers and monitor and review their effectiveness in supporting learners.
Support academic teams in curriculum development, validation, review, and provide advice on support needs of students.
Work substantially on HE funded programmes but support other students as required. Identify students internally progressing to HE and provide advice and support to them.
Coordinate the ‘HE Student Voice’ and maintain an HE support presence in the Learning Resource Centres.
Coordinate, monitor and report on internal student satisfaction surveys in conjunction with HE Coordinators and course teams.
Advise and support students in obtaining disability support, to include DSA application assistance and liaising with external agencies.
Promote, support and report on NSS for the College.
Work closely with other College teams to further develop and improve the Learning Support service and meet the strategic objectives of the College.
Liaise with the Examinations Office and Examining Bodies in relation to recommended exam arrangements for students and carry out other duties of assessment and support for students as appropriate.
Provide reports and feedback on all aspects of the HE support service. Follow relevant record keeping and administrative procedures.
Support HE Coordinators to embed HE Tutorial System into programme delivery.
Engage with widening participation activities to promote HE provision at the College liaising with Marketing and external agencies.ABOUT US.
