Reed in Partnership is a public service provider delivering a range of services that transform people and their communities. These services are delivered across our Assessment, Employability, Wellbeing, Citizen Services and Environment divisions.

Our Reed Assessment division, a national provider of trusted and secure testing and assessments, is planning for the significant expansion of its testing operations during 2024. We are currently bidding for the delivery, on behalf of the Standards and Testing Agency (STA), of Key Stage 1 & 2 testing to all Primary School students in England. Securing this multi-million pound contract would see Reed Assessment responsible, directly and through its supply chain partners, for the production, distribution, marking and moderating of all key stage tests across Primary Schools.

We are now looking to build an experienced implementation and delivery team ready to successfully mobilise this contract from April 2024. Please note this is a Fixed term contract for 18.5 months starting in April 2024.

What is the role about?

The Service Design Lead will take a leading role in ensuring that Reed in Partnership’s company standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire process of Implementation. The Service Design Lead is responsible for leading on the service design elements of Implementation from contract award to contract commencement. • Experience of Service design methodology and be able to produce detailed service delivery models for customer journeys on our programmes that are deliverable.
• Understanding of contractual delivery ideally gained via service design or management/technical/specialist/supervisory role.
• Ability to liaise effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of direct line management of a team, including remote working and effective performance management
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK to support implementation.

Service Lead - Service Design and Transition
£45,200 to £52,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)

We're looking for a Service Lead to join us in Manchester to play a key part in our service design and transition agenda across Co-op. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way - splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

As a Service Lead at Co-op, you'll collaborate closely with our Delivery and Project Managers right from the start of projects. We'll also look to you to design the service wrapper, end-to-end. No matter which projects you're working on, it'll be up to you to engage the right colleagues, at the right time, to set our service up for success in the future.

What you'll do

• Play a key role in our project teams, and be accountable for all things 'service'
• Take ownership of our documentation production (including supporting and operating documents)
• Design the support model and make use of platforms such as Visio
• Build and maintain positive relationships with our third-party suppliers
• Work closely with our Service Analysts, coordinating work and managing resource as necessary
• Regularly attend PMO meetings, taking ownership for key areas and communicating information to the wider team

This role would suit people who have

• Experience in service transition, with a background in IT service management
• Experience working in a project environment
• Some knowledge of ITIL at foundation level
• The ability to use Microsoft applications (e.g. Visio) to collate and present information
• Good communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working with third-party suppliers

[What the role is]
As a Management Support staff to the School of Design & Media, your role is to support policies and schemes in specific functional areas.

[What you will be working on]

- Support the daily operation of services

- Manage enquiries from various stakeholders i.e. students, parents, public, agencies, etc

- Assist in organising activities related to admission processes, examination processes, orientation programmes and graduation ceremony as well as supporting College’s events and functions

• Provide a change focussed, customer and business interface for the operational solution during the sales campaign and implementation of the solution once on contract

• Produce the associated Work Package Descriptions and customer artefacts required of the bid solution

• Clearly articulate the solution against the customer requirements, particularly with respect to Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities (RAIDO)

• Produce specialisation related statements of work for sub-contractors that form part of the solution and review sub-contractors’ proposals

• Manage the Change Control Board for the solution during the bid phase handing over to the Project Manager during implementation

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrable expertise in UK MOD and Governmental service requirements for the supply chain, delivering communications system projects and services

• You will be able to assimilate customer CONOPS and URDs to ensure compliance from the solution, and to ensure that benefits of the solution are realised by the customer

• You will be able to identify and articulate organisational change RAIDO matters in the solution

• Understanding of Military Satellite Communication systems and operations
