As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets by leveraging a variety of security tools to identify, manage, and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the testing and evaluation of security tools, proactively monitoring and analysing security alerts, participating in incident response activities, and conducting frequent risk assessments. Additionally, you will contribute to the delivery of Business as Usual (BAU) cyber security processes and ensure the maintenance of cyber security procedures and documentation.
Collaboration on product and process improvements, as well as researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities, will also be part of your duties.
Package - £40,000 per annum

Job Overview - Proactively monitor, triage, and analyse security alerts and events.
- Participate in incident response activities to contain threats effectively.
- Support the delivery of Business as Usual (BAU) cyber security processes.
- Utilize a diverse array of security tools to identify and manage security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in testing and evaluating security tools.
- Oversee the maintenance of cyber security procedures and related documentation.
- Collaborate on product and process improvements, including creating and enhancing analytics, workbooks, playbooks, and conducting threat hunts.
- Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct frequent risk assessments.
Minimum Criteria To ApplyRequirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, with the ability to script in Bash & Python.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, with the ability to script in PowerShell.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, particularly with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elastic/OpenSearch, Kibana, Logstash, etc)
- Understanding of encryption techniques and cryptographic protocols.
- Familiarity with network protocols, packet analysis, and network traffic analysis tools.
- Proficiency in using and administering a wide range of security tools such as SIEM, AV, EDR, DLP, IAM, etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI DSS, or other industry-specific compliance standards.
- Experience with vulnerability management processes and tools.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and services.
- Experience in writing formal documentation.
- Exposure to cyber security principles and frameworks.
- Understanding of web application security concepts and tools.
- Experience with conducting security assessments, audits, or penetration testing.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and developments in the field of information security.
