Information about the squad

The main responsibility of the Junior Investigator position is to review ING customers’ transactional activity to detect and prevent money laundering and/or terrorism financing.

The Investigator analyzes the alerted transactions and the activity on the account to establish the flow of funds. They review the internal and/or external information about the customers to support the decision and are acting in accordance with the procedures.

Apart from the core activities, investigators are often involved in additional projects and initiatives, accordingly to their skills and interests, e.g., update of the procedures, quality check of colleagues’ work, trainings, administrative tasks, etc.

We will ensure that you are properly trained – every new joiner starts with a few weeks-long comprehensive training program, that is later followed by on-the-job trainings.

Job Scope:

Manage the Shipment between Asia and our French overseas Office in the French Islands.

Liaise with overseas French colleagues in daily shipment activities.

Support the Key Account Manager and solve day-to-day issues and Key Performance Indicators are being met.

Plan for Consolidation / FCL or Air freight services from Asia to the French Islands.

Any other Ad hoc task assign by the Key Account Team Leads.

As a Junior IT Audit Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the IT audit function within the organization. Your primary focus will be on assisting with the evaluation of IT systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with senior IT auditors and other stakeholders to identify risks, assess controls, and recommend improvements to mitigate potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in IT Audit Activities: Support senior auditors in conducting IT audits, including planning, scoping, and executing audit procedures in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
2. Compliance Evaluation: Assist in assessing the compliance of IT systems and processes with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA), industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and internal policies.
3. Risk Identification and Assessment: Participate in risk assessment activities to identify and prioritize IT-related risks to the organization's assets, operations, and reputation.
4. Control Testing: Assist in testing the effectiveness of IT controls by performing walkthroughs, documentation reviews, and testing procedures.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Document audit findings, including deficiencies and recommendations, in clear and concise audit reports. Contribute to the development of management and audit committee presentations.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units, to understand IT-related processes and risks. Communicate audit results and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging IT risks, regulations, and best practices. Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of IT concepts, including network security, system development lifecycle, and IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT).
• Familiarity with EGRC tools and platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, MetricStream) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex IT environments and identify control weaknesses.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Our Portfolio Management team plays a crucial role in managing both the mortgage and savings portfolios. This includes activities like interest rate risk hedging of the mortgage portfolio, credit risk assessments, Retail Banking funding, and pricing determination for NIBC mortgages.

This is what you'll do  

As an analyst, you'll assist us in providing key insights of the risks of and dynamics within our mortgage balance sheet. As a junior / trainee, you'll start with supportive activities, but you'll soon receive more responsibilities. Moreover, your teammates will include you in everything they do, which means you'll get a good idea of the job very quickly.   

  

Your activities:  

• You'll have a supportive role in Portfolio Management Retail. This places you in position closely to the dynamics of the day-to-day business, leading to a lot of interaction with a wide range of experts.
• Your analytical skills will be put to good use in data requests and modelling, such as forecasting, explanation of results and quantitative support to (new) business cases. Key examples are the liquidity planning of our mortgage balance, a crucial role in the market valuation of our mortgage loans and providing essential information of the spread/margins development.  
• Your primary clients will be the Retail Banking’s Management Team and our Executive Board Members. And last but not least, you will be the point of contact with our Finance department.
• You will help improve our models both on implementation as well as on methodology. You will work in Python and Excel, where you will focus on automation and improved presentation of figures.

Your team  

You'll work in the Portfolio Management Retail team. This team consists currently out of 5 colleagues that work together closely, laugh together and regularly have a social activity together like a dinner. The team is ambitious to improve how we work and what we do. Everyone has a technical background like Mathematics and Econometrics. We are searching for a person who fits in well.

Furthermore, it is a subteam of a larger team where there is expertise on Customer Analytics as well as Structuring. This will provide you with additional learning opportunities on the field of data science as well issuing covered bonds, such that you get exposure directly to a wide range of competences.
