Majorly accountable for quality management, comprising quality planning, quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement, including certification and accreditation documentation.

Quality planning is concerned with preparing operations to satisfy the demands of the customer, whereas quality control is concerned with monitoring activities using various control points and checks to guarantee that poor quality is not delivered to customers. Quality assurance is concerned with developing systems and procedures to guarantee that quality is maintained at all times.

1. To implement and maintain an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, as well as conduct and schedule BIS, GRS, and Oeko-Tex certifications.
2. To implement all the ISO procedures in the QA/QC department.
3. To monitor the audit cycle programme to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
4. To engage in continuous knowledge development regarding each certification’s requirements, recommended best practices, techniques, and performance standards.
5. To conduct a periodical review and analysis of current QA/QC operational processes and recommend appropriate updates and changes in the QA/QC-related procedures.
6. To verify the in-process inspection and finished product quality inspection data and reports.
7. To verify incoming inspections for raw materials and consumables.
8. To report the non-conformance findings to department heads as well as other respective departments and key persons to determine the disposition of the non-conformance materials.
9. To be responsible for coordinating customer feedback and complaints and liaising with relevant departments to ensure they are resolved.
10. To verify the calibration report and the Equipment Calibration Required Master List.
11. To ensure prompt submission of the monthly Quality Assurance/Control Department Report to the superior for verification and compilation.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Assistant

Job Type: Full-time (5 days per week)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team. This role offers on-the-job training for individuals who are meticulous and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, possess excellent learning abilities, and hold a diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, or a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct quality inspections and checks to ensure compliance with the required standards;

2. Perform routine checks on incoming raw materials as well as outgoing products.

3. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures;

4. Identify and report quality issues and work collaboratively to resolve them;

5. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities according to ISO13485.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Manages & leads a team of engineer assistants, supervisor and technicians on the testing of low-voltage switchboards and power distribution boards.
• Ensures that all testing checklists are correctly checked and signed.
• Drafts training material, manages and provides training (safety guidelines, testing and troubleshooting techniques) for newly hired employees or on new products.
• Leads the team and conducts factory acceptance tests (FAT) / factory witness tests (FWT) with the presence of clients in accordance to the method of statement (MOS).
• Performs in-house test procedures in accordance with the MOS.
• Performs in-house quality control procedures and checklists (e.g., visual inspection, torque tests, etc).
• Manages (calibration, defect reports, replacement procedures) all relevant tools and equipment used by the Testing Department.
• Assists in providing insights to the Quality Management Team for CAPA and RCA whenever required.
• Assists in providing insights to the Project Management Team for discussions and validation of the method of statement whenever required.
• Be committed to the team in achieving various goals set by the Management.

Requirements

• Diploma and/or above in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Well versed in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Possesses the ability to interpret electrical schematic, single line diagram (SLD).
• Preferably to be experienced in handling tools and equipment used in electrical testing (E.g., Primary Current Injection Test Set, Secondary Current Injection Test Set, Digital Micro-Ohm Meter, Insulation Resistance Test Set, Dielectric Withstand Test Set).

Assistant Test Engineer (NFC APP Qualification / Development)

12-Month contract

Responsibilities:

Product and System verification and Validation (Main)

• Propose test requirements, with the project team, to meet the marketing / customers’ requirement for assigned projects/ products (including NFC APP, and others product).
• Prepare an initial estimation of resources and test budget
• Lead the establishment of product’s validation test plans and prepare the test schedule
• Establish the matrix of references and quantities for the above test plans
• Ensure the availability of all test means (equipment & tools, test standards facilities) to achieve product’s conformance
• Manage and perform product’s validation in accordance with test plan to ensure that the products meet the requirements for the specified application or intended use
• Follow up with the requester (designer or APP developer) on the reported bugs (issues), proactive involve in project discussion.
• Ensure on-time completion on all assigned product and system verification and validation according to test schedule

Continual improvement of Laboratory process (Supportive)

• To sustain & uphold the Quality Management System (QMS) which comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 and SAC-SINGLAS technical and management requirements
• Continue to improve the work processes in laboratory to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing/processes
• To optimize the planning and management of the test schedule as to maximize the usage of the test equipment

To boast Laboratory testing competency and expertise (Supportive)

• To strengthen the competency and capability of the laboratory by commissioning more equipment
• To strengthen the knowhow of product international standards on testing methodology, pass/fail criteria etc.
• Continue to improve the testing efficiency by building up the knowhow on competitor products and implementing new ways of testing.

Test Reporting (Main)

• Create test reports for performed tests and present test synopsis to project and management teams
• To write clear and concise reports which address the business / technical needs of requestors

Equipment Calibration and Maintenance (Supporting)

• To source for good vendors to calibrate and perform preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment
• To keep track of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance due date
• Liaise and monitor performance of external vendors for equipment calibration and preventive maintenance

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in product verification and validation testing of industrial electromechanical and electronics products.
• Experience in APP development or APP qualification will be ideal
• Good understanding of international standards
• Experience working with Project Management / Product Evolution Processes
• ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge or experience will be ideal
• Exposure to industrial electromechanical and electronics products testing
• Knowledge of FMEA, FTA, 6 Sigma concepts & problem-solving methodologies will be ideal
• Familiar with international test standards e.g. IEC, UL, CSA, Marine, etc.
