Your main base will be the central York office. You will be required to work in the community and in client's homes across York and the surrounding villages.
Responsible to: Head of Care Services
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week Monday to Friday with weekend on-call (shared within team -generally 1 in 4 weekends)
Salary: Permanent rate of pay: £30,000 -£35,000 upon successful CQC registration and obtaining Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Additional £21.42 per day on-call payment.
The Role
This is a CQC registered domiciliary care service providing personal care to people living in their own homes. The Respite Service provides regular short breaks for carers of older people. Both Care Services are provided to adults with a wide range of health and social care needs, including physical disabilities, mental health needs and dementia.
Currently providing 168 hours of care last week, comprising of 228 appointments. With a team of 10 carers, a senior care worker and service manager.
The CQC registered manager will lead a flexible and adaptive integrated care service which responds to the needs and wishes of clients, enabling positive outcomes. Central to this will be leading a caring and high-performing team, ensuring they receive the leadership and support to provide consistently high-quality care with adherence to Care Quality Commission (CQC) legislation. At the heart of our services is to provide a personalised, person-centred service that maximises the well-being of all our clients.
Key Responsibilities
" Ensure high quality, person-centred care and support is consistently provided in line with CQC standards of care
" Ensure the service meets all requirements of Care Quality Commission registration and working, with the support from Head of Care Services, to fulfil the role of registered manager
" Overarching responsibility to maintain rota for out of hours management support to clients and the care team
" Recruitment, induction, and performance management of staff; identifying training needs and ensuring high quality training is delivered
" Ensure processes and systems are in place to support delivery of high-quality care, including working with colleagues to review and update organisational policies.
" Ensure a positive and welcoming working culture where carers raise ideas towards continuous improvements within the service.
" High quality risk assessment skills across all aspects of the Bridge the Gap and Respite Care services ensuring all risks are professionally and robustly managed
" Ensure the Integrated Care Services budget is managed effectively with provision of timely and accurate records to support Head of Care Services and other senior managers to provide accurate and efficient financial reporting
