We're looking for an experienced and motivated network sourcing engineer to support, influence and deliver Network infrastructure sourcing/acquisition services in a fast-paced production environment — you must be agile and able to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
The successful candidate will need excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills. You will be working with people from many different teams and backgrounds requiring an open mind-set. You must be able to influence others and work cross-functionally to achieve broad goals. A proven track record of successfully managing projects, successful past & existing experience in network sourcing (terrestrial, subsea, satellite etc.) in telcos / cloud / AI service providers. Managing stakeholders is a crucial skillet that needs to be demonstrated resulting in a measurable impact to be successful in this role.

You will be working for one of the UK's leading commercial real estate firms, with offices in well over 30 countries and thousands of commercial properties under their umbrella.
Your new role
As the Head of Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in defining the overall sourcing strategy utilised across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for over £200m of indirect spend p/a, with a focus on Hard and Soft FM services. You will have 3 direct reports, who you will be responsible for ensuring are continually upskilled and challenged, in order to ensure a best-in-class procurement team is supporting the business. You will be leading all supplier and stakeholder relationships, so you should be an expert communicator with the ability to win over the hearts and minds of stakeholders across companies and cultures.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a strong understanding of the FM category, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the development of the wider team, as well as informing high pressure decision-making from day one. You should have extensive experience of managing suppliers and internal stakeholders across an international business - the ability to influence and manage stakeholders in an international environment is crucial to the success of this role. You would ideally be MCIPS qualified. However, this is not a pre-requisite for this role.

You will receive a competitive base salary, flexible dependent upon experience. You will be able to work in a hybrid way, with 25 days of annual leave p/a, increasing with tenure. Private medical and dental will also be provided as standard, alongside a discretionary bonus of up to 15%.

What a Technical Specialist does in HP:
