The Crisis and Home Treatment Team aims to reduce the frequency and length of inpatient admission for people experiencing acute episodes of mental health difficulties of all age groups including people above 65 years of age. It provides care and treatment in the least restrictive environment resulting in minimum disruption to the Service User's life with the purpose of meeting the person's mental health needs in their home environment and providing a real alternative to hospital admission where possible.

The Team also facilitates early discharges from the inpatient wards and facilitates 48-hour post discharge telephone contact post-discharge from the acute wards, and 7-day follow up where appropriate.

In LSCft, we have worked in collaboration with Lancaster University andMatthew Syed Consultingto create a development programme that will build upon the skills and experience you have developed so far in the improvement and enable you to take it to a much deeper level. The postholder will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be payable.

We are seeking to recruit a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist to work as part of the Specialist Perinatal Community Health Team (SPCMHT) based at East Barn, Lancaster. This post is full time (10 PAs).

The successful applicant would be expected to contribute to the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration would be paid.

Consultant Psychiatrists are expected to deliver both obstetric liaison, psychiatric outpatient clinics and Home visits. The majority of each cluster’s work will be a combination of antenatal care and care of postnatal mothers. The antenatal care will take place in the antenatal clinic settings in maternity, at women’s homes, or other locations in the community as is convenient for the mother. Consultations can also be undertaken via telemedicine, the trust being an early adopter of Attend Anywhere, whose use has increased since the pandemic.

Postnatal care from the Specialist Perinatal CMHT could take place in a number of settings including home visits, CMHT bases, community assets, essentially as close to home as is required as well as by telemedicine.

The SPCMHT’s are multidisciplinary teams within the specialist network.

It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieve new business opportunities through initiating contact with prospective clients through networking, cold calling, referrals etc.

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in insurance sales.
• Proficient in leveraging on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram to promote company branding and / or launch marketing campaigns or events will be an advantage.
• Highly driven and energetic individual with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• A degree or diploma holder or any relevant risk and insurance qualifications.
