This position plays an important IT role that is essential to Grab in ensuring smooth daily regional operations (Level 2 & 3) and management of tasks/projects for the business. The following includes the duties and responsibilities, as well as the expectations for this role.

The day-to-day activities:

• Collaborate with team members to build/improve technical capabilities in the service.
• Responsible for endpoint management (via Software as a Service (SaaS) SaaS based systems like Jamf, Cisco Meraki, JumpCloud and Automox).
• Responsible for endpoint deployment, software evaluation, testing, deployment and post deployment support.
• Provide Level 2 & 3 IT operational support. Coordinate and liaise with vendor for operational support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and support.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Get to know the Role

The Senior Network Engineer is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) covering network technology deployment and support. The role is required to participate in developing network strategy, standards, technology roadmaps, and network deployments. 

You are expected to: 

• Design, build and maintain the Grab network across SEA region & Romania. The network is built on Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco , F5, WLAN, SD-WAN, IOT and cloud based solutions (AWS/Azure).
• Support IT network infrastructure-related work, WiFi APs, network upgrades, office builds, expansions, and relocations.
• Develop reference architectures, design principles, and other artifacts in compliance with enterprise standards, ensuring solutions are optimally designed, secure, well performing, and integrated with other solutions.
• Actively participate in engaging with Business Stakeholders, internal GTS Teams, and Vendors to manage the outcome of the projects. 
• Lead network design and actively participate in operation reviews in the Change Management process.
• You will take part and lead problem-solving efforts, service restoration, minimizing downtime and outages
• Actively drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within and outside your organization.
• Liaise with ISPs and vendors to provide required services and infrastructure for a successful site launch

The Privacy Office is accountable for managing Grab's personal data practices. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly energised Regional Privacy Engineer to align  advanced technologies and embrace Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs. 

Get to know the Role: 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on privacy issues across Grab products. You will work with key Grabbers in our engineering and business teams to design privacy solutions that help Grab to meet its global privacy obligations. You will be called upon to provide privacy and data security subject matter expertise to our legal counsels as they negotiate complex commercial deals that contribute to our products’ success. As we expand our offerings in SEA, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact.  

The day-to-day activities:

• Develop and implement solutions to ensure privacy policies are correctly implemented. The implementation should advance compliance with legal forms of data use as well as support business use of data.

• Architect, configure, implement, and manage the OneTrust platform to ensure that the modules are fit for use, and dependency tasks such as integration with corporate website and other CRM tools are done seamlessly. 

• Work to align advanced technologies and Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs. 

• Collaborate with data product development teams creating new uses of data that employ privacy features.

• Interacting with internal privacy members, product development teams, legal, compliance and data governance teams. 

• Analyze, design and program software enhancements for new data streams with a goal of developing technical solutions and systems to help mitigate privacy vulnerabilities and prevent potential future privacy risks.

• Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solution.

• Performs testing and debugging of applications and solutions, as well as completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

• Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications to new or existing software. 

• Interface with other developers and architects in implementing big data solutions that enable the business to be data driven while protecting the data assets. 

• Interface with usability team to ensure user-facing privacy controls are usable

• Use data anonymization, pseudonimization and encryption to develop systems that preserve and improve privacy protections.

• Identify areas of improvement in local practices relative to managing data privacy.

• Perform regular privacy assessments of operational processes, identifying, and mitigating risks across the company through effective tools, training and guidance

• Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders

Our team is passionate about the details and work very closely with a wide range of stakeholders. It's very important that our team members take initiatives to identify problems, and have the right mindset and problem solving skills.

The day-to-day activities:

• You will be responsible for monitoring day to day MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB and or other OLTP database systems in terms of operations and management

• Perform database capacity planning and maintenance, monitoring and performance tuning

• Diagnose any database issues and employ measures to prevent recurrence

• Work with engineering and operations team in building tooling to drive scalability, reliability and performance

• Research and develop new technologies and approaches for building highly available data persistence systems

• Advice and support product, engineering, support and operation teams

• Participate in on-call rotations
