The Role We are looking to recruit a second deputy facilities manager to enhance the leadership capacity in our site team. You will work alongside our current deputy facilities manager, with the clear division of responsibilities decided after appointment to suit both the skills of those in post and the business needs of the school. The role will include shared responsibility for compliance across the school site, delegation of tasks through the trusts electronic ticketing system, ensuring school porterage requests are met, liaison and reporting to the Gordano Hub Estate lead and the school Leadership team. Site safety and project management of some of the site works are very much part of the role for the deputy site managers, who are in control of the deployment of the site team resources on a daily basis. To be considered for this position you must have: Experience of caretaking/maintenance work. Preferably some experience of the role of compliance in the running of an estate. Good organisational and communication skills, including competency in using IT systems. A willingness to be fully involved in the life of a school community, and to be working in an environment with young people. You will be responsible for productionalizing ML models developed by data scientists. He/she will be the central point for ML models refactoring, optimization, containerization deployment and monitoring of its quality. Main responsibilities will include:

Job Description:

• Responsible for the projects and addition & alteration works of hospital, medical centre and other associated business unit as instructed by the management
• Track preventive maintenance works and service contracts for the department and support the car park operations
• To assist in projects and addiction & alteration works as assigned by Head of Department or reporting Supervisor
• Facilitate and manage assigned projects within given deadline & budget
• Independent and resourceful. Good problem solving & analytical skills
• Able to work well with people from across different departments and levels
• Support the car park operations
• Assist in any other duties assigned
• Able to manage the work schedule of contractors/ vendors to ensure the work / project within the timeline with minimum disruption to the patients and staff
• Work with colleagues and contractors to ensure al physical plants and equipment are serviced as planned
• Any other duties assigned by the Senior Technician/Engineer/Supervisor.

As the Senior Manager - Sydney Line Maintenance, you will provide management review and control over multiple business units, including engineering/line maintenance, operation controls, planning and supply chain function. This includes developing projects, structures or processes as part of a Qantas engineering team. You will also be responsible for managing operational, safety, leadership, people management, and regulatory outcomes toward best practice principles to achieve operational performance, ensuring that the necessary resources, facilities, and finances are in place to provide the required compliance and safety oversight of areas responsible. This Leadership position manages the continued transformation agenda to deliver transformational benefits. A critical success to the broader change agenda is for the leader to work with the Head of Line Maintenance/EM Engineering and their leadership teams to develop the transformation agenda and deliver its strategic objectives.

 
Responsibilities:

• Manages one discipline over a range of products/processes or maintenance operations, or a diverse range of engineering disciplines within business units.

• Focuses on managerial concerns of the project such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation.

• Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors the integration of work.

• Reviews technical concepts of major projects.

• Oversee all BU Transformation Programs/Projects including monitoring of progress, project and change health, resourcing, dependencies, risks and issues.

• Manage BU roadmap and dependencies.

• Develop strategies to maximise shareholder value by working together with leaders and staff.

• Provide strategic advice and support to the broader QE executive leadership team, identify trends, dependencies, and other information that may influence strategy, and utilise as input to strategic decision-making.

• Manage professional engineering duties by providing technical support and detailed engineering analyses to ensure compliance and equivalence procedures meet the business and CASA requirements.

• Advising and making recommendations to Qantas Group Airlines and Customers, and liaising with customers regarding technical compliance requirements.

• This position is responsible for the administration, budgeting, and resource planning for the department including commercial management.

• Provides strategic leadership and business management to the relevant engineering business focusing on Safety, People Customer, Commercial and Continuous Improvement.

• Personally, participate in solving difficult technical problems.

• Responsible for people management and training needs.

• Comply with Group Management Systems and Policy.

Essential Criteria:

• 10+ years of leadership experience. With a preference for understanding of airline operations, maintenance, compliance and safety. 

• Professional Engineering - degree qualified or equivalent engineering experience.

• Post-graduate qualifications in technology, business/management desirable.

• Extensive engineering experience in aviation engineering practice.

• Hold delegated approvals from the National Airworthiness Authority and/or other regulatory authorities.

• A recognised authority in an engineering field of major importance to the company and respected industry peers internationally including aircraft/engine manufacturers.

• Strong leadership experience and ability to influence outcomes and lead teams from the Professional Engineers / Technical Officers groups.

• Must have experience in the understanding and application of project management and delivering projects within time frames and budgets.

• Ability to resolve complex issues and to structure them for others to navigate.

• Results orientation Ability to engage people at all levels.

• A mix of big picture strategic thinking and attention to detail, energetic and takes personal ownership.

• Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of an organisation and to work as part of a team.

• Sound written and verbal communication skills, including delivery of presentations on behalf of the company to external stakeholders (manufacturers & regulatory authorities, and other government agencies).

• Ability to work closely at all levels in the company - including Technical Services, Maintenance Services, Flight Operations, Strategy & Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Airworthiness Authorities, Manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, and external customers.

• Strong commercial acumen & analytical skills.

Bloomberg’s Capital Project team is seeking a Project Manager to support the firm’s capital projects and improvements undertaken across various locations and offices throughout the APAC region!

The Role

The APAC project management team is looking for a dedicated client-side Project Manager. This is an exciting role within Bloomberg and offers scope for further professional development. In this role you will need to have a high degree of professional knowledge managing a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders and partners. You will be expected to deliver exceptional projects in line with business requirements of quality, time and cost whilst running all related project risks. You need to be able to communicate and articulate the needs of the project and provide accurate reporting to your internal stakeholders, project team lead and senior management.

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery including the development of end-user program requirements and coordination of the occupation of new and refurbished premises (plus decommissioning of the Company's current offices). You will also be involved in the due diligence process for review of new premises and assist with future capital planning.

We’ll trust you to:

• Provide strong leadership to the internal and external design and construction project team
• Handle the development of scope narratives, budgets and schedules that will be used to define a project and acquire management approvals
• Work with Contract Administration and procurement groups to ensure strategic methods are developed and applied for procurement of professional consultants and contractors
• Ensure Bloomberg company governance and policy is rigorously followed
• Manage all project meetings including agenda, effectiveness, time, and documentation to ensure key engagement with internal stakeholders
• Manage all cost management and projects controls processes. Maintain project budget
• Ensure development and tracking of project baseline critical path schedule is managed and adhered to
• Manage the construction administration phase to ensure project and contract requirements are being met
• Develop and assist with all monthly project reporting. Sign off on all financial project reports, invoices, and similar documents
• Keep ESG front of mind and lead on the establishment of project ESG targets in line with BLP firm wide ESG strategy
• Travel to locations across the APAC region

You will need to have:

• A Technical degree in architecture, engineering, design, construction management or similar
• 10-15 years experience in leading projects of increasing size and complexity and have demonstrated single point of ownership and responsibility for those projects
• Demonstrated experience in financial project management and governance of single projects greater than $5MM, and/or multiple projects greater than $8MM
• Experience in design and construction phases of a project including time on site under different stages of construction
• A broad understanding and depth of knowledge across the various subject areas and topics encountered on an office design and construction project
• Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, MS Project, or similar industry project management and scheduling software
• Experience in reading drawings and specifications including architectural, structural, MEP, and IT/Comm
• Experience in establishing contracts for consulting and construction services, understanding of the various contracting methods and right applications for each method
• Prior experience in remote delivery of projects of scale, working with culturally diverse teams across Asia
• Experience in delivering projects in a live corporate fit out environment
• Demonstrated strong communication skills in challenging situations
• Excellent engagement approach to manage partners and stakeholders
• Understanding of roles and responsibilities as typically set forth in the industry by SIA and REDAS construction contracts or similar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated continuous career progression in an organisation

Responsibilities:

• Management of the building operations and facilities, including a team of property executives and outsources services e.g. cleaners, security, concierge etc.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the building is in good condition, e.g. cleanliness, carpark and signages etc.
• Follow up with rectifications and make recommendations to the Management.
• Prepare budget planning for the Building, management reports, contracts review, vendor performance evaluation and monitoring the general building repairs and defect works.
• Work closely with the M&E team to manage the building’s facilities and equipment. Control and manage the use of common amenities and facilities in the building.
• Prepare, call, evaluate, and administer quotations and tenders for preventive & corrective maintenance, repairs & replacement works, services and supplies, and advise on selecting suitable vendors specialists and award such quotations and tenders with the Management's approval.
• Manage, supervise and check on the quality of work delivered by staff and vendors.
• Ensure that routine maintenance works and services are carried out satisfactorily and adequately in accordance with the assigned or designated work scope.
• Participate in the building’s Green Mark upgrading standards and requirements, and update the building’s policies and compliance regularly.
• Conduct regular inspections of the fire protection facilities and systems and ensure that the systems are satisfactory and serviceable.
• Conduct required mandatory fire evacuation drills and table-top exercises in compliance with SCDF’s regulations.
• Attend to correspondences and tenants on matters relating to the building.
• Liaise with all relevant authorities on the Building, apply and obtain all necessary licenses and certificates. Manage and maintain proper records, files, correspondence and documents.

Requirements:

• Recognised Bachelor Degree in Building Management, or equivalent
• Fire Safety Manager Certification would be an advantage
• At least 8 years of working experience in a similar capacity
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
• Customer service oriented with a positive attitude
• Good team player and able to work independently
