Requirements:
· Current Diploma or Degree student in Videography / Media Production / Film Production or relevant disciplines
· Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
· Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
· Basic knowledge of photography and videography terms like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, frame rate, audio levels
· Basic knowledge in operating Sony Alpha cameras for filming
· Be comfortable with shooting outdoors, reviewing and adjusting composition settings on the go (It sounds like a lot of hard work but we guarantee it will be twice the fun!)
Optional but advantageous skills and traits:
· A good sense of humor!
· Up to date with social media trends and current affairs news
· Basic understanding of audio mixing
· Some experience with using a gimbal stabiliser

THE ROLE
As our Video Production Intern, it is ideal that you are a bright, curious creative and approachable person. You are someone who understands the brief strategically, is able to propose relevant solutions/touchpoints, before creating videos for social media, websites and ads. You will also be working closely with the creative team to support in content creation on video production.
You will be tasked to assist and report to our in-house videographer - and will take an active role in all disciplines fromvisual storytelling such as directing, conceptual storyboarding from pre to post production.

We are looking for a Video Production Intern to join us this Summer in our Honolulu, HI office. The Video Production Intern will play an integral role in supporting Hawaii Energy’s mission by encouraging participation in our programs and increasing community understanding of energy efficiency and conservation through high-quality educational videos. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain relevant work experience on a marketing team in Hawaii’s fast-growing clean energy industry.
The Intern will primarily assist with producing, shooting, and editing short-form video content for use on Hawai‘i Energy’s website, social media pages, and in public presentations. The position will involve interfacing with Hawai‘i Energy program participants, members of various trade industries (i.e. solar & HVAC contractors, electricians, plumbers, etc.), and internal staff. This position is ideal if you are passionate about videography and storytelling, and are considering pursuing journalism, filmmaking, or marketing as a career path.
The Intern will report to the Marketing and Communications (Marcom) Manager and may be able to work remotely in accordance with Hawaii Energy’s guidelines. This position is only available in Hawai‘i and is a full-time, 40 hours-per-week, internship over a period of 8 (minimum) to 12 (maximum) weeks during the Summer, with the potential to extend to a part-time internship during the school year.

Job Summary: Assisting in-house videographers/editors for video projects: product/services videos, corporate videos, in-house content videos, and other types of projects. This includes operating cameras during multi-cam productions. During onsite sessions, assistance is provided to the production team in various areas such as equipment setup and organization, prop handling, camera operation, lighting, and sound equipment.
