Responsibilities
• Plan and execution of pipe and fibre infrastructure projects, including Common Service Ducts (CSD), Utility Service Ducts (USD), new commercial and housing developments, and backbone Fibre Networks.
• Engagement with various government agencies and utility providers finalise the CSD/USD design.
• Deconflicting management of CSD/USD design and implementation with other infrastructure providers or developers.
• Update Network Inventory records of cables and pipelines according to the planned project and implementation on-site.
• Oversee the project implementation, provide timely updates on the project status and provide assistance to the implementation team.
• Ensuring strict adherence to established operational procedures and engineering directives.
• Conduct acceptance activities to ensure infrastructure constructed is fit for purpose.
• Perform additional duties as delegated by the Supervisor.
Requirements
• Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines, accompanied by three years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of the planning and construction processes involved in telecommunication or underground infrastructure.
• Knowledge of network rollout or implementation would be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in telecommunication infrastructure construction, with proven abilities in effective contractor management and communication with internal stakeholders, will be an advantage.
• Possess project management and communications skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational institution or similarly accredited non-US institution, and six (6) years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility,

Master’s degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational institution or similarly accredited non-US institution, and five (5) years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility.
Note: Positions requiring the Professional Engineer (PE) certification require graduation from an ABET accredited institution and do not permit graduation from a similarly accredited institution.
Expected to keep abreast of the latest Engineering advancements in field. Continuing education required to maintain currency in assigned engineering discipline, regulatory and other related knowledge.

Licenses
