SUMMARY
Responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining effective processes that assist in inventory control, inventory accuracy, metric measurement, and continuous improvement throughout the materials department. Performs tasks that tie materials functions together, but also critically analyzes results to drive process improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Raw Material Inventory Control
Manage the ongoing cycle count process, implement improvements
Reconcile count discrepancies through physical recounts and ERP investigation Manage critical parts shortages including daily reporting on content, effects, and countermeasures
Identify and disposition excess and obsolete inventory in conjunction with PFEP and Accounting groups
Material Review Board representative for Materials in non-compliant inventory disposition Leadership role during Physical Inventory including collaboration with internal and external auditors
- Whole Goods Inventory Control
Responsible for the Whole Goods inventory process, including chassis
Create and maintain processes and cross-functional discipline to relate physical location of chassis and whole goods to the location listed in JD Edwards
Create and maintain the transactional discipline for movement of chassis and whole goods
- Bill of Material
Through cycle count reporting and Monthly Highest Adjustment reviews, assist in determining information related to BOM and/or structure issues. Collaborate with various functions to assist in fixing errors.
- Planning
Responsible for Planning Bill creation, maintenance, and regeneration to drive MRP planning. Includes systematic and manual updates.
Partner with PFEP and GPSC groups in the setup of MRP planning parameters. Understand and correlate inventory reduction plans and strategies to planning parameters and be able to quantify the risks and rewards.

Manage existing metrics or create new metrics surrounding

Accuracy and Issues Pareto Inventory Level and Change
Convert reduction targets into action plans and execute
Analyze areas where performance does not meet expectations and implement solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in related field with three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong willingness to learn.
Must have materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in lean manufacturing principles, MRP based planning, visual replenishment planning, inventory control, metric creation, tracking, countermeasures, cycle counts

Senior Safety Coordinator R27429
Under the general direction of the Sr Safety Manager, this position is accountable to manage, oversee, and carryout safety programs and policies relating to applicable local, state, and federal regulations at the plant level. The primary responsibilities of this position include planning, developing, implementing, and administering safety and health programs. Interfacing with other management and hourly personnel regarding safety issues is also imperative in this position in order to reduce accidents/incidents and maintain safety at an Appleton location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with safety teams and attend weekly team meetings as a safety resource
Investigate and report incidents and accidents regarding safety. Report on accident data utilizing a computer database to track trends and injury rates. Use this information to develop current and future loss control strategies and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents/injuries
Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of safety training and accident prevention methods and carry them out according to company programs and policies
Ensure enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies and any disciplinary actions that may be necessary
Develop and attain personal goals based upon key areas of responsibility
Develop positive relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and outside specialists/organizations to enhance the credibility of the company’s health and safety programs
Complete job assessments including ergonomics and machine safety/guarding and required periodic inspections of PPE, lockout tagout procedures, AEDs, eyewashes, etc
Execute timely coordination and communications in all areas internal and external to our business. Must periodically present safety information to senior and executive management.
Participate or lead other special projects or assignments as assigned by supervisor
Recommend plan for budgets and capital expenditures for safety-related issues in relating to the manufacturing process
Maintain a safety atmosphere in order to promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture
Use professional safety tools/knowledge such as ergonomics, management skills, industrial hygiene, presentation skills, etc. to convey and improve safety at Oshkosh Corporation
Manage return-to-work program and assist with workers compensation claim activity.
Lead continuous improvement projects for safety and health services departments including ergonomics, lean activities, cost savings, etc

Safety Coordinator R27428
Under the general direction of the Sr. Safety Manager, this position must have working knowledge of OSHA regulations and possess the ability to develop positive working relationships with facility employees, supervision, and the support groups to assure positive teamwork. They must strive for continuous improvement toward safety goals and objectives and maintain safety programs and policies relating to applicable local, state, and federal regulations at the plant level in Neenah.
YOUR IMPACT:
Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, behaviors and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections
Investigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken
Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if required
Oversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulation
Update management on the status of Oshkosh’s safety program through monthly and quarterly reports
Strengthen and support the Company’s ergonomics program

SUMMARY
Assist and support the Operations department within Pierce Manufacturing. Develop process improvements within Manufacturing. Participate in daily production meetings. Work with other Supervisors to resolve assigned tasks.

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Safety programs at the business segment level.
Assessment and improvement of current loss prevention programs
Provide direction and guidance regarding implementation and maintenance of all health and safety related programs
Assist Management with the development, implantation and/or enforcement of a management accountability program
Evaluate risks and develops guidelines for roles, training, measurements and rewards for the management system for employee safety
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, federal, state and local guidelines regarding health and safety programs
Responsible for the management of contract security personnel at both locations
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
