The Job :

• Lead, manage and coach the Asia Pacific team of customer service personnel in Asia Pacific region.

• Develop customer service policy and procedures.

• Establish and monitor meaningful service metrics.

• Audit customer service procedures and trends and determine system improvements.

• Manage the Order to Cash process for various product lines.

• Drive business simplification to increase productivity and reduce cost.

• Manage manpower requirement and grow the team to support business growth.

• Work with various stakeholders on inbound and outbound logistics.

• Answer customers’ questions, resolve problems, and maintain customer satisfaction by providing problem-solving solution.

• Attend to service-related customer feedback. Timely investigate root causes of non-conformance incidents and recommend preventive actions.

• Liaise with banks, foreign consulates, statutory boards, and external parties as necessary on trade financing and documentation issues.

• Undertakes ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications/Experience:

• A degree in business, industrial engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years’ work experience in customer service, material management or business planning area, preferably in a chemical company.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing or supervising people.

• Ability to communicate effectively, make sound decisions and lead by example.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of Order to Cash, Shipping and Trade Financing processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP

Responsibilities

• Attend to customer’s enquiries/complaints through phone/email and ensure necessary actions are taken and follow through.

• Prepare quotation for VDR/Radio survey, ECDIS training, CBT license keys and spare parts requirements to local/ overseas customers.

• Process Job Order Process (JOP), Purchase/Material Requisition (MR), Customer Order Process (COP) for approval.

• Prepare and draw out materials/parts for radio surveyor.

• Coordinate, liaise and schedule with ship’s agent/customer for attending VDR/Radio surveyor and ECDIS instructor.

• Collate and submit documents to Finance and Account Department for invoicing.

• Perform the role of Internal Auditor and First Aider in the Emergency Response Team.

• Support team of surveyors for delivery of parts when required.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager and VDR/Radio Surveyor.

Knowledge / Skills

• Good communication and organization skills.

• Good level of IT literacy, experience in NetSuite or similar system is preferred.

• Minimum ‘O’ Levels/ A ‘Levels, Diploma with at least two years of related working experiences.

• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

• Must be able to work independently and as a team in the organisation.

• Pleasant with good professional discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical proposal of machining the part and estimate the machining hours.
• Engage subcontractors for proposal and costing.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in precision machining or engineering.
