As a member of the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) executive team, the Executive Assistant Administrator (EAA) for Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service reports directly to the TSA Deputy Administrator. The Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service is a major component of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the Department of Homeland Security(DHS). This position also serves as the Director of the Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service promoting public confidence in our Nation's transportation system. The Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service's primary focus is to detect, deter and defeat terrorist or other criminal hostile acts targeting the U.S. air carriers, airports, passengers, crew and when necessary, other transportation modes within the Nation's transportation system. In this position you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service, supporting and implementing the TSA Administrator and Deputy Administrator's vision, strategy, and direction for TSA.
- Advising the Administrator and Deputy Administrator on matters affecting the strategic and operational direction of TSA in all areas of law enforcement and security operations, programs and policies, infrastructure, and internal processes.
- Managing the planning, programming, budget, and execution (PPBE) for Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service.
- Directing the strategic deployment of Federal Air Marshals (FAMs) on domestic and international flights and other scheduled law enforcement duties in the aviation and transportation domain.
- Overseeing TSA's 24x7 Transportation Security Operations Center (TSOC) which processes information for incident management from numerous worldwide coordination centers for collaboration on intelligence and domain awareness for all DHS transportation-related security activities.
- Leading efforts to provide ongoing law enforcement support to counterterrorism and investigative activities in airports and other transportation modes.
- Serving as the lead office for the TSA Insider Threat Program and Federal Flight Deck Officer Program.
