Job Purpose

Ensure that Accounts Payable and GL accounting processes are in line with established accounting systems, policies andprocedures, conforms to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and in full compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).

Active involvement in the timely delivery of company financial reports, implementation of established internal costcontrol and helps ensure protection of the assets of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidation of company accounts e g. checking and reconciliation of prior period figures to be carried forward
• Maintaining reports and details of general ledger accounts
• Maintaining and supervising Purchasing/Inventory Control System (AIS and Inventory Master).
• Troubleshooting and liaising with respective personnel for outstanding issues or problems
• Assisting in all general ledger tasks, including but not limited to intercompany transactions and accruals.
• Proper journal, account reconciliation, maintenance and consistent updating of all accounting schedules.
• Maintaining proper control on company assets
• Preparation of construction account, liaising with project personnel and contractor, updates on supplier WIP reports.
• Assist in budgetary and reporting process
• Timely and accurate posting of  invoices in the system
• Regular and consistent liaison and coordination with other departments on the thorough checking and verification of vendor invoices, particular to non-inventory items and contractual services
• Verify and reconcile vendor statements, trace missing invoices and payments and communicate in writing with vendors for any discrepancies.
• Assist in working with external financial auditors, tax agents, insurance representatives and consultants, bank officers and other local government agency representatives to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Work closely within accounting, and other departments, i.e. procurement, warehousing and other commercial department, to ensure  that an overall cohesive team co-operation is maintained
• Maintain well documented and easily auditable records for all accounts maintained, including but not limited to invoices, POs, GRNs, COFA and vendor statement of accounts (SOA)
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and employees, on the first instance and ensure that proper resolution is arrived, else elevating the concern to the HQ and Site Financial Controller

Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in medical and surgical Ophthalmology Provision of outpatient services in sub-specialty and general ophthalmology clinics. To share with colleagues the provision of ophthalmology advice to medical and surgical inpatients To work with colleagues, both medical and nursing to improve and advance the service. To ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription and whenever there is a doubt about the appropriateness of the item, or about the dose or labelling instructions to check with the authorising doctor or duty doctor. To collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient. To ensure that all monies received or handled ion behalf of the practice are appropriately stored and passed to the finance team for banking and records are kept of all financial transactions. To endorse all prescription forms as appropriate, collate and forward the forms in a secure manner along with the finance manage to the PPA for processing and reimbursement. The forms should be bundled in accordance with current PPA guidelines and include any necessary accompanying paperwork such as the FP34D and invoices as requires by the PPA. To promptly forward all invoices and dispensary related correspondence to the finance team according to practice policy. To notify the authorising Doctor of any FP10 returns/feedback from the PPA do that any appropriate remedial action may be taken To operate efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the dispensary with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimising wastage through out of date stock. To ensure that drugs are stored appropriately in accordance with the accompanying instructions. To ensure that the shelves and all work surfaces are regularly cleaned to maintain a high level of hygiene within the dispensary and that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order. To take prompt action in response to any drug alert bulletins that may be received from time to time. To ensure that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and to maintain a temperature control record/logbook. To maintain full and accurate records of all dispensing transaction including CDs incorporating the use of computers when available and appropriate. General Responsibilities of the Consultant General Surgeon The following is not an exhaustive or exclusive list of the duties of a Consultant Grade. The appointee is expected to: Provide senior clinician services to both the Emergency Department and the General Surgery Department as per job plan or as agreed within the Trust, and as required when on call. Upon agreement with the Divisional Clinical Director, the post holder can take on additional SPA activities. It is envisaged that the post holder will maintain a subspecialty colorectal/ upper GI interest to complement existing services.

Successful candidates will be allocated a dedicated educational supervisor, with a interest in educational research, and with experience of helping trainees succeeding in applications for CT or ST training. This post is split in with 4 days working with the general surgery team, and 1 day working as a teaching fellow. Non teaching fellow post will also be available.

The junior fellow post is based on the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) at the John Radcliffe Hospital which is a busy consultant led unit. The unit deals with around 200 patients per week in the triage area and another 150 patients in the acute ambulatory clinic. The SEU undertakes all emergency general surgery operations including approximately 400 acute laparoscopic cholecystectomies, 800 laparoscopic appendicectomies and over 200 emergency laparotomies a year. The John Radcliffe Hospital is also a Level 1 major trauma centre. The junior fellow post will give the successful candidate the skills to manage acute general surgical conditions ready for progression into speciality training. There will also be exposure to the management of specialist, tertiary level cases in colorectal, oesophagogastric and hepatobiliary surgery. The timetable will include dedicated weeks of emergency operating based solely in theatre and also the opportunity to undertake elective operating in general, colorectal and hepatobiliary surgery giving you exposure to all the surgical skills required to apply for ST3 jobs. The night-time and weekend commitment is shared amongst all the CT grades working in general surgery at the John Radcliffe hospital in a fair and transparent rota.
