This role will see you working across our Strathalbyn and Littlehampton Concrete Plants. Working Monday to Friday, with Saturday work as required.
Start and finish times will fluctuate and be changeable depending on customer demand.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and motivate a growing team of designers
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, and Business to facilitate the discovery process and workshops, fostering alignment among teams on a shared vision
• Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Flo’s products, ensuring that the design strategy aligns seamlessly with the overarching company objectives
• Define, craft and evolve design systems that result in a consistent and outstanding user experience across all of Flo's products, platforms and countries that we operate in
• Engage actively in design processes, including user research, wireframing, and prototyping, to craft high-quality user interfaces hands-on
• Drive change through user and data insights
• Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively to convey the design vision and strategy

You will be a good candidate if you:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a product design role, including at least 2 years in a leadership position
• Proven leadership skills demonstrated through the successful management of design teams and projects
• A portfolio of work showcasing expertise in developing user-centered design solutions, creative strategies, and/or design systems for products across various platforms.
• In-depth understanding of design principles, user experience, and interactive design
• Experienced with experiments, such as A/B testing, and making data-driven decisions
• A history of building design teams that foster a culture of creativity and innovation
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey design concepts, strategies, and outcomes to diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to address complex design problems
• Balanced ability to engage in high-level strategic thinking and hands-on design work

What You'll Achieve:

• Craft end-to-end solutions: Design comprehensive experiences for AppFlowy's desktop, web, and mobile products, enhancing user interaction and satisfaction.
• Collaborate: Join forces with the AppFlowy team and our open source community to identify user issues, define our vision, strategize, and deliver effective solutions.
• Elevate Our Brand: Contribute to shaping AppFlowy’s identity and develop a design system that raises our standards of quality.
• Community Engagement: Use your design influence and knowledge to engaging with the broader open source community to understand the needs of the community.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience in product design, with a strong focus on B2B / B2C enterprise applications.
• Bonus points for experience with productivity software such as Notion, Asana, and Airtable.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping features across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
• Ability to craft every detail to tell the right story to the right audience effectively.
• A systems thinker who can envision beyond the aesthetics of design and craft and holistic experience for your Users.
• Experienced working in cross teams in collaborating with stakeholders with diverse viewpoints across Product, Engineering, and Founders.
• Comfortable with navigating change and embracing uncertainty.
• A robust portfolio that displays your skills in user experience design, interaction design, and visual design.
