Role Overview

Backend Engineer is one of the key roles in the Coupang Play product organization. This role works closely with product designer, product manager, mobile, and quality engineering team to collaboratively produce awesome user experience. Experience in high availability distributed systems is essential, this role will design and develop the system that serves million customers every day.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain highly available, scalable, secure and cost-efficient backend systems
• Design micro-services based systems and architectures that work at scale

Job descriptions:

• Handle phone calls, answer general enquiries, take/pass messages to recipients.
• Greet, check in and announce customers’ arrival.
• Check visitors in and direct them to specific destinations.
• Responsible for incoming mails, parcels and front desk’s petty cash.
• Manage hardcopy filing of front desk’s monthly report.
• Coordinate with chauffeur on pickups and sending off customers.
• Summarise and verify retail transactions settlement for account use.
• Custodian for customer area’s cleanliness.
• General adhoc admin duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Customer oriented with good level service attitude.
• Exceptional listening skills with good level of English communication proficiency, candidates with satisfactory English proficiency certificate issued by recognised education organisation would be an added advantage.
• Posses good communication ethics, strong self confidence and humble.
• Receptive to constructive feedback, enthusiastic and good level of responsibility.
• Preferably with receptionist or customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Undertake Front of House duties, including meeting, greeting, and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a superb customer service experience.

· Administer all routes of Reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.

· Ensure Room Keys are distributed to the guests assigned to the respective rooms.

· Familiar the categories, position, capacity and furnishing of every room in the premises.

· Build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints / issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service.

· Responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and billing processes.

· Undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard.

· Furnish information regarding:

o Hotel layout and all its facilities (Swimming Pool, Launderette Room, F&B Outlets and etc.) operation hours.

o Locality places of interest, special attractions or events.

o Names of Transport Services (MRT, Bus, Tax, Flight, Ferry) and timetables if any.

· Handles all incoming and outgoing mails, faxes and messages for the guests.

· Consult and report to Supervisor on duty on unusual occurrence.

· To perform any other duties directed by the Supervisor from time to time.

Key Requirements:

· Minimum O Level or Higher NITEC in Hospitality Operations preferred.

· Minimum 1 years of experience preferably in the front desk service.

· A team player and willing to learn.

· Able to perform shift work.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Good customer service skill.
