• Liaise with the DT Teachers each day/week to ensure set up of classroom practical activities and materials are prepared.
• Advise the Director of Business Administration on Health and Safety issues and write Risk Assessments;
• To have good working knowledge of a range of CAD programs. Subject but not limited to; Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, and Autodesk Fusion 360.
• To have experience working with CAM machinery. Subject but not limited to, laser cutters, 3D printing, CNC routing and waterjet-cutter.
• To have practical knowledge of using heaving machinery e.g. Table saws, Lathes, welding equipment, pillar drills, bandsaws and grinders.
• To provide practical support to students during lessons as required.
• Assist with displays of student work inside and outside of the classroom including exhibition displays.
• To be physically fit to be able to perform duties above, including moving and managing large sheet materials and practical projects.
• All other duties commensurate with the post.

(H&S training, and some guidance will be provided, but the expectation to use all equipment is mandatory.)

The successful candidate will have:

• A relevant technical qualification (Diploma or Higher Certificate);

We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with expertise in high performance digital design and system level architecture modeling to join our Heterogeneous System design team. This candidate will work closely with IME’s advanced packing team and contribute to the exploration, optimization and development of multicore & multi-chip system using IME’s heterogeneous integration platform.

Job Description:

· Digital IC Design and system-level exploration:

o Lead and contribute to the design and development of digital integrated circuits, ensuring they meet performance and functionality requirements.

o <!-Emphasize a system-level perspective in the design process, considering overall system architecture and functionality.

o Apply a deep understanding of cryogenic temperature effects on digital ICs and implement design strategies for optimal performance in low-temperature environments.

o Incorporate Edge AI principles into digital IC designs, enabling efficient and intelligent processing at the edge of the network.

o RTL implementation for custom circuit design using Verilog/SystemVerilog

o Derive specs and implement necessary customized and highly efficient building blocks such as systolic array, data path controller, scheduler, integer and floating-point processing engine, FFT, etc which are frequency used in various computing architecture such as in-memory computing, deep learning and neuromorphic computing.

· Simulation, Verification, and Implementation:

o Conduct thorough simulation and verification of digital designs to validate functionality and performance.

o Utilize FPGA in digital IC designs, leveraging its flexibility and reconfigurability for system emulation and architecture exploration

o Perform timing analysis and collaborate with the team to optimize designs for timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and carrying out all works relating to the Safety, Health and Environmental matters in the project.
• Lead and manage a team of safety officers.
• Investigate every incident and develop preventive measures.
• Conduct Risk Assessment control measures.
• Conduct inspections and audits including effective implementation of relevant preventive actions and follow ups
• Conduct and lead Design for Safety meetings with Architects, Engineers and Designers to discuss design hazards and corresponding control measures
• Complete and update Design Risk Register, Design for Safety Register and other documentation for handover
• Keep track of progress of design/construction work
• Any other duties assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, good knowledge and management role on QESH systems.
• Experience in getting Safety Award
• Attended the DfS for Professional Course and passed the assessment, or equivalent, and either.
• Experience in design and construction management of transit projects.
• Trained in hazard identification and risk assessment methodology.
